Teen heartthrob Nick Jonas was in Washington DC today to rally for a cause close to his heart. Three years ago, the musician was diagnosed with Type I diabetes, and today he addressed a Senate hearing on the disease.

The 16-year-old lobbied for more funding for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Jonas was joined by boxer Sugar Ray Leonard and longtime diabetes advocate Mary Tyler Moore.
