Michelle Obama Shakes Up Staff

First Lady Michelle Obama has replaced her Chief of Staff Jackie Norris with Susan Sher, a lawyer and longtime mentor and friend of Mrs. Obama's from Chicago.
Norris was not fired -- she was appointed Senior Advisor to the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS). Norris, a former high school teacher, has been a colleague and friend since the earliest days of the Iowa campaign. She was also Vice President Al Gore's Iowa political director in the 2000 presidential campaign.
Norris released a statement saying she is "grateful to President and Mrs. Obama for the opportunities and friendship they have given me over the last few years." She says she's "looking forward to becoming an integral part of this Administration's efforts to advance the cause of national and community service."

The tired catch-all cliche - - ‘hater’(used up; no longer has any validity). You’re right about one thing, though. The media need things to report about - too bad there isn’t as much POLITICAL data, as there is ENTERTAINMENT interest regarding a president! I don’t care if the obarmers seek out the attention or not; no one knows (not that they EVER seem put off by it)It sullies the reputation of the office. Not that it matters to me, personally, because it never occurred to me to vote for him, but it looks bad. Getting the same coverage as, and by the same sources as, say, paris, britney, clooney, or some sad reality show figure, is demeaning. But I guess if they weren’t so busy leading a mad social whirl, these rags wouldn’t BE covering them. Being a president, I would assume, is extremely stressful, difficult, thankless, and time-consuming work. He belies this by his recent lifestyle, and mark my words, if he were Republican and behaving like it’s spring break, there would be a backlash that would not end until ten yrs. after he was out of office!!! If you can ‘get over’ that, more power to you - maybe YOUR pockets are being filled as others’ are emptied, as he preaches sharing wealth (in btwn lavish dinners, trip, and wardrobe changes)Me, I’m waiting til the storm blows over, hoping I still have a home left afterwards.
