McCartney: Jackson was a 'Massively Talented Boy Man'

Sir Paul McCartney has released a statement about his "happy" memories of Michael Jackson.

McCartney has said, "I feel privileged to have hung out and worked with Michael. He was a massively talented boy man with a gentle soul. His music will be remembered forever and my memories of our time together will be happy ones."

The megastars worked together on numerous tracks including Jackson's "The Girl Is Mine" and McCartney's solo tracks "Say Say Say" and "The Man." In 1985, the friends had a falling out after Jackson won a bidding war for the rights to songs from the Beatles catalogue. He bought the rights for $47.5 million and a decade later sold about 250 songs to Sony for $95 million.

I remember the first time I heard Micheal’s voice. It was I’ll Be There over the radio. I didn’t know who he was then. I was amazed by his talent and follow his life and career up until his tragic death. His Music Thriller was fantastic and phenomenal. It brought me to life musically. I never heard anything like it and I don’t think I ever will again. It is a great lost for me. I shade tears for him. My sympathy is with his family in this time of bereavement. May God be with you. Thank God for technology. Micheal will always be with us. His music and dance will live on. I am 84 years old and not of his generation, but I related to his music. I love you very much. Goodbye Micheal! Rest in Peace. You are the Greatest!
