Uhm, back on subject, people.. Dr. Gabe I think this incident is very sad! We all go through hardships in life but in most cases we don’t deal with situations in an extreme manner. I hate to say this, but I think people who commit this kind of indecent exploitation of their children are selfish because they don’t think about how others would feel. Those innocent children do not even have a choice to live their lives as normal kids. It’s one thing to play with your own life, but why the children?!

Dr Gabe, I feel that this is another sad story and quite frankly occurs far too often. The lure of “Hollywood.” I do feel that the media coverage of this incident is too much. I don’t follow them, but I have seen their faces plastered all over every magazine. .and for what? 15mins of fame to destroy your family? Yeah, right! “Pat I’ll take 2 stupids for 800 please!” Gimme a break, already!!!!!!

I’m not to sure what could make a parent snap to expose their children to the harhness of ‘”HOLLYWOOD!” I MEAN C’MON, KATE! GET A CLUE!!. Me personally I would live on the street and be homeless before I would exploit my own daughter let alone myself. There is a way we can make sense out of this in a scientific way, I guess, Dr. Gabe, but as Mothers having feelings not looking at the situation from a scientific perspective we can’t make sense of this or understand. How do you expend someone so precious that you created all because you need a job?! due to your irresponsible behavior at work (infidelity, etc. So yes, doctors, as psychologists you guys can make sense of this and come up with different theories on what may have triggered all of this. But me personally I cannot understand.

I have actually had a family member kill his child, wife and father in law in a fit of passion, in addition one of my Uncles has committed a recession related suicide recently. There can be so many factors that led up to this unfavorable situation. With the first situation in my family member was involved in a physical altercation with his son and he fell and hit the cement. From there we went to the garage and came back with a AK military style. An hour after the shooting he was calling the house to speak to his wife. I told him that she was dead and he didn’t even realize what had happened. Sometime stress or trauma can result in a person acting outside of themselves. But it has been a lesson to me to keep a leveled head so that I can handle situations with logic and not violence. I think money is a significant motivator for this couple…I hope they come see you or even the other lady, because people do snap. Being reminded of their initial wedding vows could work!

Hi my name is NaTasha and I am a full time student I am totally devastated by the Jon & Kate Plus 8 reality Show. We all are sometimes guilty of putting our jobs before our kids. It’s very difficult trying to make a living. If you’re lucky enough to make millions? Why not? But at the expense of your kids? I don’t know. The choices these two parent are making cannot be judged. If this is not a wake up call i dont know what else will be. People seriously need help these days. Instead of everyone saying “everyman for himself” i believe now is the time for everyone to band together. I also think its wrong of the people who jokingly promote this act, they should stand up and take responsibility.

Well i think some parents/people have mental issues that they don’t understand and they don’t get help for. So, they end up taking out their frustrations and their illnesses on their children and loved ones. That is my opinion. Beautiful Locks, Dr. Gabe! Mm, Mm, Mm, Brains & Beauty! Are we really that smooth in real life? I hope so, We have so many fake men out here, now.

Ok, you’re the doctor, Dr. Gabe, correct me if I am wrong, but isn’t this how tragedy is set up and then played out? Doesn’t something like this make sense when you think about the stressful times we are currently in? I Remember that -murder/suicide in California a few months ago. But usually this these type of things happen when a person is going through a difficult emotional time. I don’t remember exactly where I read it but isn’t it true that stressors such as economic hardship can lead people to irrational behavior. I have heard about a lot of wall street people committing suicide when the lose it all in the market.

It is a shame but we don’t know all of what that man was dealing with. In someway, who knows Jon & Kate may be trying to protect their kids from living on the street…Maybe they would lose their house. We just don’t know.
