Lifechangers: Gosselin Intervention!

"Extra" Lifechangers are staging an emergency intervention for the reality couple -- including clinical psychologist Dr. Michelle Golland, registered psychologist Dr. Gabe, and divorce attorney Lois Lieberman.

Interesting video. Umm, I never heard that depressed people go to vacations to act happy. I read somewhere that all the divcore stuff was a ploy to get more ratings. I read that they are having issues, but not to this extent. Is it possible to repair the marriage? I hope so, 8 kids is alot to raise.

Dr. Gabe,

It is so nice to finally meet you!
Anyway I think that they lost focus of what the reason(s) they did the show to begin with. I believe that at this point their children even at their young age are suffering. They do need help indeed.

Dr. Gabe
When you speak of hysteria, what else can it lead to besides depression?

Dr. Gabe,

I totally agree with your point, you hit it center mass. I have been watching this show on and off and I certainly agree with you that the family needs help. They desperately need some type of intervention. I feel sorry for the children.

I believe that a parent snaps like Jon because they have no where else to turn and they they think that by doing this it will solve all of their problems. Money and fame, isn’t that like a drug, too, Dr. Gabe? I dont think there is much sense to be made out of it though.

Dear Dr. Gabe (I’m soooooooooooo glad to meet you, well, maybe not really met you, but, see U. it feels like I know you. You have a really smooth soothing voice, so I want to share some personal stuff with you, can you please try to provide me with some answers. We can’t afford therapy). Ok. Here goes:
I think that u shouldnt be afraid to show your emotions and shouldn’t let your pride take over u. My mother suffered from Schizophrenia and I want to know y isnt there no answers? She now also has breast cancer and has also spread to her lungs my grandmother also suffered and my youngest sister has it i never had any answers . Will I develop Schizophrenia? I hope you get this because I tried and tried last night and couldn’t get through. There was this error message. Did anybody else get that on extratv.com?

I think Dr. Gabriel Crenshaw’s advice was right on…Hopefully Jon & Kate were watching and heed his advice.

I was reading up on Gardners 8 frames of mind and out of all of them I know that I have body-kinesthetic intelligence, natural intelligence, music intelligence, and logical mathematical intelligence. Dr. Gabe can you explain more about spatial intelligence because I read it but not really focused in on its significance, can you give me an example and a better definition of spatial intelligence? I don’t know the first thing about who Jon and Kate are, my girl just told me there was a cool-assed black dude on TV named dr. Gabe (She was actually a little too excited about you, so I went online and found out who you were). You spittin’ some serious knowledge. But, leave my Girl alone and get at me with the answer to my question. I see you do actually answer. Cool, “Dr. COOL!”

My name is Ray Haley and I do understand the way you feel Tish because I feel the same way too. The problem is that peoples don’t have a power greater than themselves, that one is God, though, Tish (which you didn’t say, but it’s God) that is the only way anyone can live life,we have to put God frist in every thing we do, also we must have faith that God will do the things for us that we cannot do for ourselves.

From reading this blog, I can say that its pretty More…obvious that this mother & father are emotionally unstable. I’m usually not the person to make assumptions but, perhaps there is something going on in his life that he was very insecure about. Maybe there was an event in his Jon or Kate’s childhood that re-surfaced in their present lives. Whatever the reason, it has to be very nerve racking to drive a man to the point that he no longer wants a family, Kate!! let alone his own new life. (Yeah, right with cameras in your face!!) Part of being human is being able to hold composure as well as expressing emotions with your loved ones. This man knows he has a problem so why chose not to seek help in the situation. We all make our own choices in life, my question to you Dr. Gabe is “Do you think this event will have a domino effect in other households?”

Psychologically there are insecurities, selfishness, financial problems, among other issues that is leading this family to their destruction! The father is weak, and like that Dr. said in serious need of some psychological help for his depression. Kate too, you know doctor I never looked at depression in the manner you explained it. But you know it makes perfect sense. But, just maybe a closer relationship with a Higher Power, could serve them both, as well

Dr. Gabe i have a nephew he’s 1 1/2 he is a very happy child, hyper, loveable, playful, and enjoy’s eating alot and when he comes to spend the night at my Mother’s house he sometimes have really bad nightmares to the point where he’s crying very loud but he cant wake up his eyes are still close and my mother and i and his dad would be their trying to wake him up but it takes a while and he’ll still be crying and yelling what do you think he’s dreaming about? His mother believes that it’s just my mother’s house where he has nightmares but i believe that its my mother’s room it only happens in that room! How could we prevent these nightmares from occurring?

I DONT BELIEVE THAT DOING A REALITY TV SHOW HAS ANYTHING TO DO WITH MAKING ONE A BETTER PARENT! CLEARLY. I DONT UNDERSTAND WHY YOU WOULD WANT TO EXPLOIT YOUR FAMILY AS IF IT MAKES MATTERS BETTER. IT ACTUALLY MAKES IT WORSE AND PEOPLE NEED TO LEARN HOW TO COPE OR LEARN COPING SKILLS TO BETTER MANAGE AND DEAL WITH EVERYDAY LIFE OFF CAMERA, KATE!! LISTEN TO YOUR HUSBAND.

My name is Carolyn Brown and I’m very interested to read your responses to these questions. This was a tragic event but, people on a wide scale are searching for answers, more now than ever before. We live in a very stressful society as you already know my question is how do we deal with these stresses? Is there any answers or solutions to the problems that people are experiencing today. Problems such as unemployment, housing, crime and violence, sickness how can we get to the root of all of these problems and then find lasting solutions. After hearing the symptoms you offer about depression, I think a whole lot of Americans are depressed! (lol)

Thanx
