Justin Timberlake on Jackson: 'We Lost a Genius'

Justin Timberlake says Michael Jackson was a "genius" and "and a true ambassador of not only pop music but of all music."
The pop sensation, who has said Jackson influenced him, wrote on his Web site, "He has been an inspiration to multiple generations, and I will always cherish the moments I shared with him on stage and all of the things I learned about music from him and the time we spent together. My heart goes out to his family and loved ones."
Fellow *N SYNC member JC Chasez also released a statement, saying, "Words can't begin to describe my sadness for the loss of Michael Jackson. I was honored and humbled to have the opportunity to perform with him several times and he had a profound influence on my career. Michael forever changed the world of music and entertainment and I will always remember him for his kind and sweet spirit."

I share my sadness with all his loyal fans. The world had never seen anything like him. He was the King of Pop for all times. To the people who will trash Micheal. None of you will ever contribute to the world as he did. Say what you may about him. He is a Music Legned. No one can take that away form him. Not Elvis, Not the Beatle, Not Mariah Carey, and these are great Artist. But none of them Sold 50 million copies of one album. I will miss him. I loved him. And when ever I listen to Thriller it takes me back to a time that made me happy. It is good to know, I shared this feeling with millions of people all over the world. Goodbye, Genius Icon!
