Melissa Rycroft and Shawn Johnson had their moments. Gilles Marini was the picture of perfection. And Ty Murray continued to endear with his heartwarming mediocrity.

With only three spots available in next week’s final round, one of the aforementioned celebs had to go on Tuesday’s Dancing With the Stars.

After a performance by Raphael Saadiq and more moves from wannabe season-nine pros Mayo Alanen and Anna Demidova, the only thing left to find out was whether the voters wanted the most technically impressive finale this show has ever seen…or if they wanted the usual—two great dancers and a sentimental favorite.

And with that, DWTS is no longer all Tyed up.

The rodeo cowboy said his farewells tonight after an impressive fourth-place run that probably never would have happened if his more famous wife—who injured herself in rehearsal and never ended up competing—hadn’t asked her hubby along for the ride.

“I got a whole new respect for what these guys do, it’s so hard,” a gracious Murray said following the results announcement.

“Trying to teach me to dance is ilke trying to teach a blind guy to paint…I don’t understand what makes it look better. I see I’m not doing as good as the other people, but I don’t know how to make it better. I just try to remember the steps.”

Once again…Aw.

So next Monday, Melissa and Tony Dovolani, Gilles and Cheryl Burke, and Shawn and Mark Ballas will go toe to toe for the last time before Tuesday’s two-hour grand finale.

From where we’re sitting, this is the best all-around trio the show has ever produced at this stage in the game. Would you agree?

I don’t agree with the sympathy thing. Jewel has been to enough PBR’s to know that those guys ride with broken arms, ribs, ankles, and other numberous injuries. If they don’t make the whistle, they don’t get a score. If she wanted the sympathy vote, she would be telling you about how many surgeries Ty has had, how many metal plates are holding him together, and that he is playing with pain every day. Yet, he is doing the best he can, and living by his motto “never weaken”

Ty’s cowboy camp is on the march, and it’s snowballing by leaps and bounds. One thing I know about cowboys, is they don’t look for sympathy. What they get they earn. And, that’s why Ty is still in the game.

Ty Murray camp already created their “CRAPPOLA” when Jewel, Ty’s wife went and blogged and was complaining about DWTS rules.

Unless viewers/voters vote for Melissa, Gilles or Shawn, TY MURRAY IS GOING TO WIN THE COMPETITION.

TY MURRAY IS GETTING ALL THE VOTES, SURE HE HAS A GOOD PERSONALITY, BUT THEN AGAIN, THE OTHER DANCERS HAVE THEIR OWN DISTINCT PERSONALITIES, TY MURRAY WILL WIN. THE OTHER DANCERS ARE EXCELLENT DANCERS AND HAVE PROVED THEMSELVES ON THE DANCE FLOOR.

TY IS JUST OKAY, SHAWN HAS MADE THE MOST IMPROVEMENT ON THE DANCE FLOOR. SHAWN IS A FIRECRACKER, SHE IS VERY LIMBER AND CAN REALLY SHAKE IT AND MOVE WITH THE MUSIC.

SO NANCY AND SAMANTHA, TIME TO KISS AND MAKE UP LOL.

I WANT SOMEONE ELSE TO WIN OTHER THAN TY MURRAY AND I WILL VOTE FOR SOMEONE ELSE TOO, I GO ACCORDING TO WHAT I SEE ON THE DANCE FLOOR AND WHO DANCES THE BEST.

I don’t know why everybody make such a theater that lil kim got boot out and ty got to stay????Well ty deserve to stay just like the rest of them, then he also working hard to dance every week and so people should give him credit for that then face it he inprove soo much even thought he don’t even do any dancing for living, compare to lil kim so back off lil kim fans

TALK ABOUT THE SYMPATHY VOTE, WELL TY MURRAY IS GETTING THE SYMPATHY VOTE.

He had the lowest scores, he looks so stiff and his face is grimaced and he looks very uncomfortable on the dance floor.

I was disappointed Lil Kim got sent home, it was unfair.

I am hoping that all the Lil Kim voters will gang up and vote for someone else but Ty Murray.

I like Ty, but he is not a good a dancer as the other dancers.

Melissa made a wonderful comeback, I am voting for her and Tony.

I don’t vote on sympathy votes, I vote according to the dancers ability and performance.

If I voted a sympathy vote, it would have been for Ty Murray, because he had the lower scores, I didn’t have sympathy vote for him. I didn’t vote for him, I don’t feel sorry for him because he has low scores, he is not a good dancers and his performances are all very stiff and rigid. Sorry Ty, you go home next week.

Sorry everyone, Gilles is going all the way. Remind me why is Melissa is on the show for? what is she famous for? Oops she got dumped on national tv? Lol

Melissa has proved she is a great dancer since the start and last night’s performance was on fire. They deserve to win. TEAM MELISSA!
