Susan Boyle Comes in Second on 'Britain's Got Talent'

Her journey on "Britain's Got Talent" has come to an end. Susan Boyle finished in second place in the finale of the popular reality TV competition.

Susan performed the song that made her famous, "I Dreamed a Dream" from "Les Miserables" and brought the audience to their feet. Judge Simon Cowell told Boyle, "I adore you."

Simon's adoration wasn't enough -- the dance troupe Diversity won "Britain's Got Talent." After the announcement, Boyle curtsied to the audience and gave them her signature hip shake.

Diversity scored the $159,000 grand prize and a chance to perform before Queen Elizabeth II at the Royal Variety.

You guys obviously don’t know what your talking about. Susan Boyle is sooo hated in Britain and believe me we will be glad never to hear her name again. Did you not see her semi-final performance…pure crap. Diversity are amazing and worthy winners. Ashley is so talented and trust me when they get on stage with Michael Jackson in the summer I think your opinions of what you call cheerleaders will change and you will be eating your words.

Poor Susan! It’s too bad she didn’t win but as many others have so correctly pointed out she will go on to bigger and better things while that little group of wanna-be cheerleaders will soon be a forgotten memory! I hope all of Susan’s supporters in Great Britain will encourage the Queen to ask for Susan to sing for her at the Royal Variety show or at some other Royal event! I’m sure the Queen would enjoy listening to Susan sing then watching a bunch of cheerleaders running around making a fool of themselves! Maybe Will or Harry would enjoy watching them but only if they’ve never seen street dancers in just about any major city in the USA! LOL!!!

Sometimes the media just go too far. Why do they not just comment on her singing. I ask the press, to the people and ask them if they wanted to hear the garble that you were printing. Sometimes the press just get it wrong and this is one of those times.

Di Di, I could not have said it any better!!! Diversity didn’t become a worldwide star after their audition. They’re just another dime a dozen dance troupe, so commonplace that there was another act in the finals EXACTLY like them!! Susan is one of a kind, and she captured the hearts and imagination of the whole world after just one performance. Diversity made no impact on the world at all, and once all the post-victory publicity dies down and their Royal Variety Show performance is down in the history books, they will be forgotten and will return to their day jobs. Susan will go on to be a major star, and she will keep shining brighter and brighter.

Susan you represented your homeland and now you have a huge family around the world who admires your beautiful singing voice. You finally got your chance and I’m sure your mom was watching you and smiling. I’m sure she was so proud of her daughter. Rest and take care of yourself. You did a fantastic job. God Bless You.

Regardless, Susan Boyle has delivered a performance of a lifetime! We’ll remember Susan Boyle much more than the actual winner, because she has touch us all, and made an impact on so many lives in the world. Truly, how many folks can say that about themselves? Best of Luck Ms. Susan Boyle, you most certainly deserve it!

It has been shown that it doesn’t matter. How many have not won, but have won in other ways? It is what you do afterwards. No matter what, they will still be doing better than they started with. She has touched a lot of hearts and there is still more in her future. Persevere, Susan, and good luck in whatever you choose to do.

I agree, Susan sure touched hearts. ♥
She’s a joy, with a fabulous voice, and I wish her good health and happiness, it’s about time life of hell comes to an end.

Seriously, a year from now no one will even remember Diversity, but they will remember Susan Boyle. Diversity didn’t touch the hearts of people worldwide. Diversity didn’t get 250 million hits on the Web. We expect to see a record deal & public appearances for her like there’s no tomorrow! No worries Susan, you & your cat are headed to greater places that you could’ve only imagined. Great job! We look forward to seeing more of you, your spirit and your inspirational voice. The Queen would have enjoyed you more than Diversity.
