Farrah Fawcett's documentary followed her battle with cancer and the difficulty in finding alternative cancer treatments stateside. 'Extra' is showcasing renegade doctors in the U.S. who are offering alternative treatment.

Farrah Fawcett's recent documentary followed her battle with cancer and the difficulty in finding alternative cancer treatments stateside. The actress went to Germany for treatment, but "Extra" is showcasing renegade doctors in the U.S. who are offering alternative treatment.

Dr. David Servan Schreiber discovered his own brain tumor during a medical experiment and was able to beat it with diet. Schrieber's cancer-fighting diet included the spice turmeric, green tea, raspberries and blueberries.

Dr. Peter Julien is at the forefront of a tumor treatment with Radiofrequency Ablation. The procedure literally cooks tumors to death with a large, scalding needle. Dr. Julien adds, "This is kind of a new hope for patients who thought they had no hope."

Dr. Robert Nagourney has been helping patients with his own approach. Dr. Nagourney designs a custom chemotherapy treatment for individual patients based on a biopsy of their tumor. Says Nagoourney, "The drugs that cause the cells to die most effectively are the ones the patient wants to get."

can someone help me please, My mother was diagnosed with lung cancer last summer. We were led to believe that between radiation and chemo treatmens my mom would be cured. 7 months after being diagnosed,,, 25 rounds of radiation and 3 cycles of chemo… they say my mom never had any chance. I told the doctors right from the start that we wanted the truth so we could put together a treatment plan… I feel like the doctors played god with my mothers life… does anybody know of any doctors that are proficient in Lung cancer…. who have radical approaches to treatment…. I don`t want to lose my mom.

Hello, I have been very restless lately, I’m 28 years old played ten years of football. work over 50 hours a week a single father I believe the reason I have most of my aches and pains are related to stress and diet. Thank you for showing me Lifechangers. I believe after time and right diet I can get healty again. I feel that my life is ing to be changed by this show.

The dear commentors who are afflicted with cancer will be relieved to understand that cancer cells cannot grow in chlorophyll (from wheat grass or other green leafy vegetables - except spinach) or in living foods that are blended or juiced. As mentioned below, 3-bromopyruvate is a very promising treatment!! If you use the correct formulation, the side effects will be far less than any existing chemos and the results will be far greater!! This chemical targets cancer cells and depletes them of all their energy sources – thus, killing them!! Healthy cells are not affected!! Although this treatment was discovered here in the USA, American patients have to travel to other countries to be treated!! How sad!!! Unfortunately, Farrah was not treated with this chemical when she went to Germany, but her physician is now using it!! Thus, I can only hope that Farrah becomes aware of this chemical and asks her physician to treat her with it!!! I pray that this treatment will become available to all cancer patients HERE in the USA in the very near future!!!

I’d like to know why our country doesn’t embrace Germany and China’s rouge efforts to get a handle on cancer treatments and make them available to all cancer patients, so lives may be saved. Our health care insurance system and treatments available are much to be desired. It saddens me to know that my significant other, (whom is 34 yr’s old with the same type of tumor Ted Kennedy has) is with out treatments available that we could never even afford. If they are offered you have to be way below the poverty level,(and move again and again). Cancer is depleted us on all avenues, but the human spirit will always fight and hold onto hope. Farah, I don’t begrudge you at all and I’m so thankful you have spread the word. I’m praying for you and your family. It’s a tough road, but ya gotta believe. There was a man from Sanibel, fl. named John Kansus that invented a radio wave machine that gets rid of tumors with no side effects and no pain, he actually passed away this yr. from Leukemia and didnt get the benefits of his own invention. Why cant cures like this be rushed through the FDA too save lives? I guess human trials are not far off, and some will be done in Fort Myers, Fl Farrah you are soooo brave.

There are already cures for cancer, diabetes, heart disease and ms. We don’t have to go out of the country or take drugs. See the Extra TV segments with Dr. T. Colin Campbell reporting the China Study results with Cornell and other major university hospitals showing that the diseases of affluence will be reversed and prevented with a plant based diet. 10% protein, 10% fat and no dairy, which turns on tumors and causes diabetes.

People should not be jealous and bitter about Farrah getting alternative meds from other countries and places. Because she has the money to do this it may just may be the beginning to finding a cure for ALL suffers. people should think of all the good and not stress on what they perceive to be preferred treatment and publicity.

Stephanie….let go of the bitterness! Be glad that Farrah can afford to do this…I am so sorry that you are suffering also…but believe me..Farrah is too. Not knowing if she is going to live or die…whether she is going to leave her family behind is a tragedy. I would think that somebody who is suffering as you are would be happy for her to be able to find treatment. Work on your attitude and I think you can feel better soon.

I am a mother of 5 children. I work a very demanding job. I have to scrimp to make it in this society. I am suffering from a brain tumor that has cause me to start having grand mal seizures. I was moved from the only position I have trained all my life for to a position where my safety is compromised daily. I have been attacked by an imate and hurt badly. I can’t get any treatment because I don’t have the money to pay for it. I am so sick of hearing about how horrible her life is. She flies to Germany to get treatment. She fliles the doctors in. This woman gets everything handed to her and the treatment that could sve her life while people who really work for a living suffer. I am tired of hearing about how she is suffering. I am suffering also as well as many other people. Where is the treatment for them. Where is the compassion for them. I have heard about her illness far to long. Do I have compassion for her? Yes. But do I appreciate her life of priveledge thrown in my face daily? NO! This type of journalism is what is causing viewers to move to other channels. I wish Farrah well, but there are other people, ordinary working people that are suffering also. People that still have to work to pay the light bill instead of sit at home and be waited on by everyone.

Farrah, when I watched your story it reminded me so much of my mother who had breast cancer. She also stayed positive throughtout the whole ordeal and sought out all treatment options and just had a will to live! She also became an advocate for breast cancer going around educating young women about the importance of early detection. I am sad to say that cancer did take her life the same month and year that you were diagnosed. But I say to you just stay positive. My mom (like you) was a beautiful person I often ask why would God do that to such a beautiful person and the response I get is God wants beautiful people in heaven!

There’s that eskimo cure of eatting rotted meat. There is also a really good healer down in southern california, that I saw featured in “Unsolved Mysterys.” I would think about moving to a better environment, and eatting better. And from what I hear Snoop Dogg is a friend in deed…
