Gilles Dances over to 'Brothers and Sisters'

Gilles Marini talks about stint on Brothers and Sisters

Actor Gilles Marini is "so happy" about his upcoming stint on "Brothers and Sisters." He says, "Not stressed or anything -- just so happy!"

Marini remains upbeat after coming in second on "Dancing with the Stars." The hunky Frenchman has signed on for an undisclosed number of episodes of "Brothers and Sisters" episodes in a role written especially for him.

The actor tells Us Magazine, "We just sealed the deal." He's excited to remain busy this summer, adding, "I got a call that producers wanted to write a part for me. I'm thrilled it worked out and that I get to prove myself. The writers and I had a long conversation, and they wanted to know who I am, inside and out."

Marini caught Kim Cattrall's eye in the "Sex and the City" movie, and his "Brothers and Sisters" character is set to hook-up with Rachel Griffiths.

you are behaving like a stalker, that is really spooky. Gilles has a wife that loves him very much and Gilles loves his wife right back and they have 2 beautiful children.

Getting a trophy and being a winner are not the same thing. — A difference of less that 1% is not a landslide. It is like winning by a nose in a horse race. — Because Shawn received a slight advantage in the voting she got a trophy — Her fan base was huge coming into the dancing season and Gilles Marini’s was small. Gilles fan base grew to nearly equal Shawn’s by season’s end. — Shawn is to be congratulated for her achievement. — Gilles Marini has received a lot of praise for his good sportsmanship throughout the season and at the time the trophy was awarded. — Shawn’s dancing will be remembered by her fans. — Gilles’ fans will remember him as a gracious competitor who was grateful for all the help he received from the other dancers. Gilles is the winner of DWTS season 8 they just made a mistake by gave it to someone else, im so proud of you, and you will make it big we can’t wait till you get your emmy don’t worry about that trophy mark my word this is just the begining of your success, and you fans will be behind you 100%.

I believe Gilles should have won. To me, dancing is an art. Gilles has the body of a dancer and is very graceful. After the winner was announced, my mother got calls from her friends saying Gilles should have won. They did not bother to vote because they expected him to win. Shawn was good but Gilles was the better dancer.

There need to be some changes to DWTS. The final results should be 45% viewer votes - 45% judges votes for the finals - 10% grand total of judges votes for the previous weeks. That way you would really get the best dancer, not the most popular. They also need to limit the lifts in the Freestyle. I want to see them dancing with their feet on the ground! They learn ballroom and latin dances and then just jump around on the floor for the freestyle. Also, the lifts are unfair to the celebrity male dancers who are not trained to do lifts. I hope ABC will take note of the comments made to have a fairer DWTS!! Love the show!!!

I’m glad to hear that we’ll be seeing more of Gille. I don’t know how to get comments passed on to Dancing w/ the Stars, but my opinion is that the overall scores for all 13 weeks need to count for more. Gille was at the top of the leader board more than anyone else this season; he deserved that trophy. The show is a dance contest and sometimes it’s more of a popularity contest. I feel bad for those who are at the top of the game only to get the shaft in the end.
