Food as Medicine?!

Can the food you eat fight disease? Dr. T. Colin Campbell's "The China Study" says a plant-based diet can help prevent disease.

Lifechanger Dr. T. Colin Campbell and his book,

Interesting. I had an old Chinese herbalist/acupuncturist take one look at my eyelids and tell me I was too young to be a vegetarian (31 yo). He said I needed MEAT!

The only research that shows that meat and dairy are good for you are done by that industry or its affiliates. All the research not done by the meat and dairy industry or its affiliates show that it is in many ways very detrimental to health. And the very reason they have groups like the weston price foundation is to try to brainwash you that only the research of the meat and dairy affiliates should be followed. But it is a lobby group and very biased. Dr Campbell’s research is not biased in any way and shows what the diet of the healthies people looks like. And it correlates very well with the studies on our own 100-plus year olds, the 7 day Adventists, who likewise have the highest percentage of vegans. It is something every American needs to know that the less animal foods you eat, the healthier you will be and the better your chance of not developing diseases and dying younger.

The China Study is not flawed. It was done meticulously, and cross checked over and over. Dr. Campbell does not say that cholesterol is the culprit. his research proves that casein (milk protein) will turn on cancers from aflatoxin that are present in the body and will grow them. Withholding the casein, and the tumors went away. Please read the China Study instead of just reacting Bert. If you looked into the book yourself or took the eCornell Plant Based Nutrition course, you would be better a informed reader. PS. I think it’s hysterically funny that an Activia yogurt commercial played just before his soundbite: bifidus is supplied quite naturally by coconut water and does not cause cancers to grow, diabetes, heart disease or ms like casein (the milk protein) that does and which is in yogurt, as well as milk and cheese.

Diet, the food we eat, is our connection to our life, liberty and pursiit of happpiness. I find the best one for me for 30 years is a plant-based diet AND that’s after 30 years of a meat based diet! I’ve read most all of the books and THE CHINA STUDY gave me important scientific evidence that I chewed upon.
Personal Consclusion: Eat a whole grain whole plant-based diet!
I LOVE it

It was good to see Dr. Campbell again.
He looks great. We will never forget meeting him in Chicago at a vegetarian group meeting, we appreciated the invite and we watch his China information on film.
He was very helpful to us when we had our child taken from us because of our plantbased lifestyle.
He was kind enough to write a letter saying that a plantbased lifestyle was a healthy one for a child.
At the time our community was not educated about a vegetarian diet and all our efforts were seen as child neglect but we did not let it change us in the least.
We are speaking out and standing strong.
We will never forget his kindness and concern and for taking time out to help a family when they needed the support the most.
Our case was dismissed with the help of many but our pre-adopted son was given to a non-vegetarian family to raise but while he was with us he had his own nutritionist and was very healthy and happy.
We will cherish the time he was with us.
I hope Dr. Campbell reads this and remembers Shirley and James from Gary, IN.

Unfortunately Americans do eat a SAD diet. But this book “The China Study” is not only flawed in it’s depiction of Asian diets it also recommends eating a “vegan” diet to combat heart disease and cancer. This is a travesty for people looking to better themselves thru their diet. Saturated fat and cholesterol have been wrongly demonized as the villains for human health. Cholesterol does not cause heart disease. Oxidized cholesterol causes heart disease. Please go to westonaprice.org to learn the real truth about health.

This is the most powerful book you will ever read about the food we eat. Americans are killing themselves eating the SAD (Standard American Diet) and worse - we are sending our terrible, processed food to other countries and making them sick, to. America is in a health crisis and it is do to the processed food we are sold. Eating plant based diet can reverse disease, and may be the most powerful thing we can do to save our health and our country from health care debt (Much less our planet!)
