I was disgusted, mad, and sad that Gilles did not win. He impressed me right from the start, and only got better in time. Like the judges said, he brought more passion and artestry to the dance floor than they/we had ever seen. I will truly miss watching him. I hope he realizes he was the true winner, despite how America voted.

Hey Sandra, you are right, Cheryl just takes over the dance floor and forgets she has a partner that she has to showcase. Cheryl is so use to the limelight that she wants to show the whole world that “she is good on the dancefloor”. What she doesn’t realize is that the dancing between the partners should be 50/50. I hope next year she will change and let her partner get the honor and glory that they deserve. Cheryl herself robbed Gilles of the tropy. She is very selfish and self centered and self absorbed with her self.

I liked the way Tony and Mark treated Melissa and Shawn and let them share the dancefloor 50/50.

I would have like to have seen Tony and Melissa win, they didn’t, so I go on forward in my life.

That Shawn was the most improved and came out of nowhere to win the title. She deserved to win the title and I am happy for her and Mark. I have no ill feelings towards any of the dancers, they are all special in their own right.
Good things will come to all the dancers now, and to me, they are all stars. I like to look at things positively, it’s the right thing to do. I have no excess baggage and wish all dancers the best that life has to offer them.

I think Giles should have won but I will say that I think Cheryl cost him the title. Her choreographed free style dance routine had nothing but Giles slinking up and down her body and very little done to showcase his great dance moves and talents; she did him a great disservice.

Shawn won because she is used to grueling gymnasts routines. She gave it her all on the dance floor and her hard work and dedication paid off.

Ha..Ha..I remember when everyone was complaining that Melissa was getting the sympathy and popular vote. She surprised everyone because she came in 3rd. Goes to show everyone that people did not feel sorry for her and they shouldn’t have felt sorry for her or any other dancer.

The fans overwhelming voted for Shawn and I think it was a fair process.

Shawn was such a delight to watch on the show..she has an energetic, bubbly personality. She is a true champion and a winner.

Once again America showed that this is nothing but a popularity contest and has no basis on reality.

Wrong person won, Shawn was good but she was NOT the best dancer and did not deserve to win on any level.

This should have been Gilles’ win, he was the best dancer from day 1, no two ways about it. America got it wrong, This show is nothing but a popularity contest, if they want it to be even remotely fair they need to change it to the judges getting 60 to 701% of the vote rather than 50-50 with the audience. The audience has proven time and again that they are not capable of voting failry.

We strongly believe that Melissa Rycroft should have won the competition -and, in truth, Gilles Marini was equally impressive. The phone lines to vote for Melissa throughout the season would tell us we had reached our call limit from that phone no. - after 1 or 2 calls. I e-mailed ABC, but it never changed. Why won’t they release the no. of votes that came in and the percentages each contestant received?? Shawn J. in my opnion just looked awkward doing most of the dances due to height and weight. She is a great gymnast, but did not deserve to win DWTS - that’s my take on it!

Even though Shawn Johnson did a better performance in the finale that does not necessarily mean she was better than Gilles. I love Shawn Johnson but we have to be honest and truthful to know that it was not contest - Gilles was the winner no matter what the outcome was and I would hope he knows that.

Gilles & Cheryl should have won. I tried phoning so many times to vote but it keep on saying “no ciruit available”. Gilles & Cheryl have lots of “perfect score” than Shaw & Mark. I agree with Len, the best dancer didn’t win.

I think Shawn deserved to win! She is only 17 years old and to accomplish all that she has accomplished in her short lifetime is amazing. She performed her best each week, and that is why she is the winner. Get over it people!
