Aiken Apologizes for Slamming Lambert

Clay Aiken says sorry to Adam Lambert

Clay Aiken is saying sorry to Adam Lambert after he blasted the season 8 "American Idol" runner-up.

On Thursday, Aiken posted a blog saying Lambert's rendition of "Ring of Fire" was "contrived, awful and slightly frightening" and he thought his "ears would bleed."

The 30-year-old is now apologizing for his harsh words. Clay writes, "I never assumed my opinion mattered so much! I guess I may have been wrong." Adding, "I do apologize to Adam for my colorful (and negative) choice of words. I hope he can forgive me."

Aiken came in second to Ruben Studdard on the second season of "American Idol" in 2003.

Well Clay is just jelous that more people want Adams Bacon more. haha

Adams voice is amazing!!

Come on, who has 5 octaves?! Almost NO ONE! He is one in a million. Especially for a guy. I don’t like the voting. Makes people vote for the less deserving. 38 million votes from one state is messed up.

I am going to notify the federal census bureau and let them know that their 2.8 million people is actually 38 million people in Arkansas, they have a right to know as well that overnight, the population swelled to a staggering 38 million people in Arkansaw.

Since when is Clay NOT entitled to HIS OPINION??

You had to have heard any and all the HARSH judging that the Idol judges gave each and every idol contestant?? How was Clays’ remarks any more demeaning??

Aiken has absolutely NOTHING to apologize for!! He didn’t care for Adams version of a song, SO WHAT??

What is wrong with “expressing ones self” or “expressing ones opinion”???

Rediculous rhetoric, and brought into the NO CLASS LEVEL by none other than EXTRA!! Extra LOVES Adam Lambert- WE GET IT EXTRA!! Adam Lambert in on the level of the Obamas when it comes to coverage from EXTRA TV!! Just keeping CRAMMING the ‘extra opinion’ down peoples throats until they FINALLY believe you— the extra motto.

It’s not “Ring Of Fire” matter but he said something like Adam already had experience.Sounds like Adam doesn’t deserve to be there. When he was in it,it was “real” people.Unpolished contestants.Kris had experience too!The different is Kris was not in “Wicked” So,what’s the problem?Adam has the same opportunity like the rest of them. He wants more in his life,he go out there and look for it. What’s wrong with that? In that time, participate A.I was a great opportunity to him so he grabbed it.
What Clay expect him to do, do theatre for the rest of his life, waiting a record producer come to him and like “Hey, I saw you in “wicked” and you want sign a contract, boy?”
Of-course we have to look for opportunity, how the hell Clay think Adam got in theatre? Just sit his butt at home and some stranger offered him? Think before you speak,Clay. You just make a lot of people nauseous!

Clay is basically saying, by stating he does not like Adam’s voice, that Adam didn’t deserve all the hype.

Adam DOES deserve the hype, both from AI judges and media outlets worldwide.

Adam is THAT spectacular — a star is born.

Bowl of milk for one.

No, Alice, I don’t believe so. No matter how much talent you possess, you have to sometimes deal w/ negative feedback. Are we only supposed to entertain positive comments, empty praise, and compliments? PARENTS shouldn’t even do that. Let’s put it this way: the Simons of the world, although brash at times, do you a much better service in the creative or entertainment field,by telling it like it is, than the Paulas, who feel the need to constantly stroke your ego. We’re all getting a bit too needy for constant validation, even when it’s not about us! Opinions are our last freedom.

- learn from negative as well as positive

The original version of “Ring Of Fire” will never be found in my Ipod. Adam’s version, on the other hand, is in my top 10 list.

It’s nice for Clay to apologize but the damage is done. It’s just bad taste on Clay’s part. He might be giving his opinion but it’s always a bad idea for an artist to trash another artist. It’s as if Chef Ramsey is saying that Jamie Oliver can’t effing cook. Sounds off-putting, doesn’t it?
