A 'Britain's Got Talent' Upset?

Everyone is rooting for Susan Boyle! The 48-year-old even received a standing ovation for her recent performance on "Britain's Got Talent," but can she really win the competition?

Susan Boyle on Britain's Got Talent

Judge Simon Cowell says it's a possibility. "I think she's definitely got a shot, but like a lot of people you see here, if you screw up on the live shows, you don't get a second chance." Boyle sang "Memory" from the Broadway hit "Cats" and Cowell complimented her rendition, saying, "You are one special lady."

Judge Piers Morgan says there's a science to the votes, and Boyle might not be crowned the winner. Morgan tells "Extra" "Often the hot favorite doesn't win because their fans don't think they have to vote so hard."

Fellow judge Amanda Holden doesn't know if Boyle's story will have a happy ending, but she says, "It would actually be quite interesting if she didn't win."

The finale takes place on May 30 and the winner will receive £100,000 and perform at the Royal Variety.

so what if she lets off some steam to the invasive paparazzi? as for brain damage.. most of us walk around with a certain amount of brain injury which isn’t documented.. ie. from childhood falls or bumps on the head.. let the lady sing.. she makes us feel good with her talent..

Susan has a beautiful voice. I believe nothing about her so called rant at the hotel because as soon as she stopped bending over backwards for the photogs and papers, they had nothing to write so.. as all good journalists do—they make it up. She does need to rein in her impulsivity imo—she just needs a PR person to take some time with her, then again that wouldn’t make for good tv would it?

I love Susan’s voice and I’ll buy every CD she makes.
I do believe her brain damage from birth is worse then we were told, but to hold that against her is shameful.

She is NOT mentally handicapped.

So is all this adulation because she sings well for a mentally handicapped person?

It’s OK if she does not win. She’s already been noticed and won’t have a problem cutting a record. So it’s cha ching for Susan regardless.

How awful would it be if she didn’t win? It’s frustrating that we can’t vote for her in America. Get it right, Britain. It’s all about talent, and nobody has more than Susan.

She’s great! She deserves to win. Can you see that other group entertaining in front of the Queen?
