Hi Kathy,
Can you give me some real advice on how to lose a love handle, I am working very hard I do notice my belly shrinking, I had horizontal c-sections and it is very ugly to say the least. I am also eating better. Help me honestly I don’t want to be thin and ungly like some models I just want to look flatter in the mid section. Thanks AM

Kathy is right. I am 30 pounds over weight. It crept up on me. I am tring now to eat healthier, and like Kathy I love to snack. I’m a late night eater, which is the worse. I commend her for sharing that picture of herself. I won’t put my picture on facebook. I give you credit for sharing! P. S. I also have a catering business which doesn’t help!

They (meaning extra and Kathy Ireland) got just what they wanted. Publicity. And, here I am giving it to them. If I were only 25 pounds overweight, I would be thrilled! Nobody gains weight first in the stomach. Dumbest story every! I will make sure I NEVER buy anything with a Kathy Ireland label. Extra… you lost a viewer.

SO WHAT!! Kathy Ireland gained a little weight, she has her life together (what about all of you negative pessimists) and WHO REALLY CARES? There are other things to talk about that’s more important than petty, mindless and stupid issues as this one. People get on board and let’s talk about the right things; i.e., THE WAR, THE WORLD, HUNGER, UNEMPLOYMENT, DISHONESTY AND LIES THAT THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION HAVE CREATED AND THE WORLD NOW MIMICS. WHAT CAN WE DO TO HELP FIX THESE PROBLEMS THAT BUSH STARTED AND DID NOT FINISH….? OBAMA HAS TO CLEAN UP THIS FILTHY MESS AND IF HE DOESN’T SUCCEED AND/OR COMPLETE HIS TASK AT LARGE, THE WORLD, ESPECIALLY, THE REPUBLICANS WILL TRY TO DISCREDIT HIS ATTEMPTS TO RESOLVE THE MULTITUDE OF PROBLEMS THAT HE INHERITED FROM THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION. PLEASE DO NOT DISDAIN HIS HONEST AND HARD WORKING IMAGE . HONESTY IS SO IMPORTANT ALONG WITH INTEGRITY AND THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION DID NOT PROMOTE OR REPRESENT THIS IDEOLOGY. BUSH WAS INTERESTED IN OIL AND MONEY (ONLY) - DO YOU PEOPLE GET IT NOW!!!! It is up to us to show our children that materializism, class, race, ethnic supremacy and arrogance will NEVER out weight strength and unity in numbers nor will it make a positive change in our world — WAKE UP EVERYBODY LET’S MAKE A BETTER WORLD (TOGETHER). THANK YOU, Sandi.

Susan—-sorry that this is hard for you to understand. If anyone is in a state of denial—burying your head in the sand like an Ostrich—gaining one pound a year is easy to ignore. The gain is 25 pounds from my leanest modeling weight. That was so far back in the last century that you may not have ever heard about it. You’re probably too young. What is exciting is that Extra has given me an opportunity to discuss this openly and frankly. Hope people will worry less about the “gain” and focus more on health. No one has asked about issues like C Reactive protein and other fat related health issues. Heart disease is the number one killer of women.Too often silent and deadly. As a women’s health advocate, wife and mom, I should have known better and done better. I did not. Not happy Understand that you’ve been in a similar situation and appreciate you caring enough to post a comment. Thank you and God bless you! Kathy Ireland.

Sorry, I don’t believe ANYBODY can gain 25 pounds and not notice it. Clothes don’t fit, you don’t feel good, and you look different in the mirror. Unless all she wore were loose muumuus and things with big elastic waistbands, she’s not telling the truth when she says she never noticed she was gaining weight. I know, I’ve been there, done that.
