Whoever the anonymous person who said Stevie doesn’t sell out arenas doesn’t know who Stevie Nicks is. Probably some 13 year old child. I have nothing against Britney, but come on. You think Britney’s rich…you have no idea how much Stevie has. Stevie writes beautiful music that connects with people’s souls. Britney “sings” studio written dance music. Stevie looks beautiful, and all young artists should aspire to be the entertainer Stevie is. I’ve seen both live, and trust me, Stevie kicks butt. If you like shallow popular music, listen to Britney. If you are a real music lover, listen to Stevie. She’s not called the Queen of Rock n Roll for nothing!! Kids, educate yourselves before you speak. Doing rock classics does not make you a rock star. Stevie actually cares about the songs she sings. Stevie loves rock n roll. Britney loves being a celebrity. There’s a HUGE difference! Pink is one of the only music stars at this time (mainstream anyway) that even comes near Stevie. I swear, it worries me about the state of music in the future.

I took my daughter to see Britney Spears, and she sang one song live and that sounded bad. I have seen every rock band you could possibly mention, and although they don’t always sound perfect every single time, they do sing live. Two years ago I took my daughter to see Justin Timberlake and Pink opened for him. Now that girl can sing. What a powerful voice. Timberlake , sang every song live and sounded great. The same year we took her to see Roger Waters Dark Side of the Moon tour, since she was raised listening to Pink Floyd. She was absolutely blown away by the entire show. It’s amazing what true talent really sounds like. She still likes Brittney Spears, but the difference is she is a celebrity. She may sell a lot of records, but pop stars do. That doesn’t mean she has talent. She’s cute.

Why is Stevie assuming she knows how Britney has done things in her career? She is just using Britney for publicity. Nobody cares about a 60 year old rock star. Gross! She looks like crap! Obviously this Grandma is jealous. Go change your depends stevie.

britney has sold over 80 million records. She is a legend already. She can retire today and she would be a legend. Nobody ebb cares about Stevie anymore. To me she sounds jealous that Britney has done so much at such a young age. As for her not working for her success. She has been working since she was 10. Who are we to say she hasn’t been? You can’t compare these two people. They are different tastes. Numbers don’t lie though, Britney has been selling out her tour like crazy. Obviously, thousands of people in arena shows care about her. How well is Stevie’s tour doing? Probably good for a small show not a arena sized show.

I have to agree with Stevie. Britney has not paid her performers dues. On her last tour, she bored of performing the show and the audience knew it. Lip-synching may have something to do with it. When you lip-synch there is no incentive to improve your singing voice when you dance. Sing live while dancing like N’Sync did it, and you may earn your keep.

I agree except that Britney did indeed pay her dues. Stevie joined a band at 18 but Britney was working when she was 12. Brit was on Star Search when she was 10 or so. Brit and today’s stars are under a thousand times more pressure. Their body’s are scrutinized in every possible way 24/7. Stevie could hide behind scarves if she put on a little weight.

Stevie is an artist, Britney is a performer. Nicks hit the nail on the head. I’m sorry but you can’t qualify what Britney does as rock or art. She is flash with no substance but a great showman.

Nicks is an accomplished artist, with integrity and raw talent.

I think that both are from diffrent eras, and they are both great in the type of music they sing and perform on stage.Don’t try to compare oranges with apples they’re two of a diffrent kind you bimbos.

God, Extra hyped it so that it seemed Stevie was going to say something mean about Britney. All Stevie said was the truth.

Well, I watched this on “extra” and I’m not real happy that they used this angle to sensationalize or HYPE the interview, because that is NOT the way Stevie addressed it.

Now I can really see how “extra” is dishonest or shady, just for the sake of ratings.

I adore Stevie Nicks and she was trying to TEACH something valuable in what she said, NOT put down or insult a popular artist, simply to get ratings or clicks.

If Britney is a Pop Star then why did she do Rock classic songs? Pop Stars stick to their own Field they don’t jump off into something else unless they are trying to be something else.
