Perry Tells 'Extra' About Meeting Stalker

Tyler Perry exclusively tells "Extra" that he actually came face to face with the alleged stalker who threatened his life!

Tyler Perry talks about meeting alleged stalker Dawne Wilson
Perry tells "Extra" he had a conversation with Wilson when she lied her way onto his upcoming film set by posing as a movie extra. As soon as Wilson revealed her name and where she was from, Perry realized she was the woman who had previously threatened to kill him. Perry immediately obtained a restraining order against her.

The restraining order claims in March 2008, Wilson began contacting Perry via the computer "in a menacing manner." This caused the actor/director/screenwriter to fear "apprehension of immediately receiving a violent injury."

The following month Wilson sent another e-mail stating, "You need to check your heart condition because it is filled with murder... your love has been but costly and deadly... Murder I say is the verdict." The 36-year-old added, "Why do you insist on assisting the devil?"

Dawne Wilson was arrested last week after being spotted on the premises of Perry's Atlanta production offices. Wilson, 36, had violated an existing restraining order obtained by the "Madea Goes to Jail" star.

The actor/director/screenwriter revealed Wilson entered his workplace and trespassed on the grounds of his home. The alleged stalker even camped out in the surrounding woods surrounding Perry's Atlanta mansion. Perry says he was shocked to hear Wilson was on his property since his 12-acre estate outside Atlanta is like "Fort Knox."

The 39-year-old star admits he was surprised when he saw Wilson in person because "she is so young and cute." The alleged stalker is currently in Atlanta Police custody and being held without bail.

Ifeel bad that anyone should have to endure this. No stalker should be taken lightly as it appears that somewhere in their mind the fixation is real love. What makes it bad is that everyday people that don’t have these types of fixations will have little or no chance of actually meeting brillant people such as Tyler Perry because everytime he meets someone he’s probably nervous and rightly so. I remember my son and I seeing Tyler Perry long before this madness and I actually stopped my son from going up to him even though he just wanted to say hello to him. I just spoke and said “good morning” and kept it moving. He looked surprised I guess because my son and I must have startled him. I felt so sorry for him then thinking “it must be hard living in a gold fish bowl”.

That’s true. After all, in what extreme case would ANYONE want to stalk Jamie Foxx?

Why would you wish a stalker on anyone? And how can anyone be so stupid as to make comments like stars are looking for publicity when the media reports on stalkers? I’m guessing neither of you would want a stalker!! I’ve had one and it is terrifying. NO ONE makes that up…. IDIOTS she’s in JAIL

What’s with all the sudden surge with stalkers? Or are some celebrities just making their problems public in order to garner a little publicity. And for the record NO ONE is saying that these celebrities are making these allegations up! I’m just saying that celebrities have had problems with stalkers for years which is why some celebrities hire bodyguards and have state of the art security placed on all of their premises. So I’m just saying that either the celebrities are just trying to get a little extra publicity OR there has been a sudden rash of psycho’s.
