Melissa Injured, Misses 'Dancing'

Former "The Bachelor" star and "Dancing with the Stars" season 8 fave Melissa Rycroft was absent from Monday's show after sustaining a rib injury that prevented her from performing.

The Texas native and professional partner Tony Dovolani were judged instead on their rehearsal performance. The couple earned a 21 out of 30 for their jive. Doctors told Melissa she has a hairline fracture but can continue competing.

One of the evening's highlights was the return of Lil' Kim. The rapper and partner Derek Hough successfully danced the tricky paso doble. Last week, Kim toned down her sex appeal and the judges ordered her to bring it back and spice it up. The couple earned a 28.

The show wrapped up with two team dances, Team Tango and Mambo. Team Tango scored 28 points, led by Lil' Kim, Gilles Marini, and Murray. Team Mambo racked up 25 points, led by Chuck Wicks, Shawn Johnson, and Rycroft's temporary replacement, Lacey Schwimmer.

Gilles is so arrogant and he already thinks he won DWTS. I hope him and Cheryl Burke don’t win.

Melissa and Tony are so humble and down to earth. I remember when Sara Evans that C & W singer was going through a divorce and was Tony’s partner, Tony was very helpful and sympathetic and caring towards Sara. He is still the same way, such a caring man, I really want him to win.

It is time for Tony to win and to take the trophy. Cheryl has always somehow got better partners than most of the professional dancers. Melissa has talent and takes her training very serious. I know that they would have received 10-10-10 from the judges if they cold have done their dance live. Especially wearing their hot dancing outfits. I could see Melissa holding out for the dance later on as the pain must have been unbearable. They have my vote, as Melissa was the wildcard.

I’m with Ann.I also feel sorry for Tony.He a great Dancer.Melissa/Toy are fun to watch.Melissa Rycroft is going to get better.Be on the show on Monday.Melissa Rycroft is nicer than Ty murray.Country singer chuck wicks.Also nicer than Gilles he gets on my nerves.You go Melissa/Tony.I also agree with Ann about that Cheryl Burke Twice.Its Time for Tony to win or Mark Ballas/shawn Johnson.Sorry cheryl Burke.Melissa Rycroft has great smile/also shawn Johnson has a great smile.sorry Ty murray.Chuck wicks.Gilles go home

I felt sorry for Tony standing all by his lonesome. He is such a nice man and I sure hope he wins the title. I voted for him and Melissa. I hope Melissa will get better and return next week.

Cheryl Burke has already won several times and it’s time some other dancer wins besides her.
