Please let Susan be Susan! She is a beautiful person, just the way she is. I love to hear her voice, I listen to her on youtube as often as I get a chance, then I feel so great, I feel like I heard an angel sing! Let’s let Susan decide what she wants as long as we can hear her sing and buy a cd of her beautiful voice, I will play it all day long. Susan is really adorable the way she is! I was stunned by Susan’s beautiful voice! And I don’t think she needs to change much. It was pretty obvious that her beauty comes from her soul and not from her body. So I think I can see her as beautiful just hearing her sing. Also I am so old I remember Ethel Merman…the strength of Susan’s voice reminded me of Merman. Wow.

Susan should only adjust her looks to correspond with her obviously sweet disposition. She’s a lovely and delightful songstress. I hope she will continue to sing like there’s no tomorrow. I liked the song; it was perfect.
Susan Boyle has an incredible voice which has absolutely nothing to do with her looks. While there was an understandable trepidition when she came on to the stage and began speaking to the judges, once she began singing her conidence and her unbelievable talent showed the world what true beauty really is.
As for her makeover, while Susan seemed a bit tentative simply by her comment that no ones given her a chance to sing in the past, she didn’t look remotely like a doormat to me. She could have said no to the makeover if she didn’t want to go through with it. I don’t see the big deal in letting her be pampered. I am the 43 year old mother of 4 and a no-frills gal myself (I wear eyeliner and my lipstick doubles as my blush and I’m done. However, when I’m going somewhere special every now and again, I’ll splurge and get my hair and crazy me, maybe even my nails done. Bottom line: I think she looks adorable and if she had fun then wny all the fuss?
theres 2 ways of looking at it. she said she wantd to be seen but never had the opportunity, now shes in the limelight. What if she wants the opportunity of a new look that she wouldnt of gotten without all the publicity and is eager to take the challenge. dont be so quick to judge extra. it could go both ways. Now if shes opposed to the change then indeed shame on extra for trying to push her. we dont live inside susans head so we dont know what she wants.
Wow!!! What a beautiful voice. Susan Boyle’s voice has definitly been a hidden treasure until it was revealed on Idol this week. I agree that the media had made some pretty rude comments about her “dowdy looks” and her “spinster lifestyle” unfortunately when it comes to Hollywood and the media that is the nature of the beast. I should think she would love a little pampering like having her hair style changed and maybe a little color in her hair. I think she should look like the elegant beauty on the outside that she is on the inside. At 47 years old I believe she has enough sense of herself not to take what the media say too seriously. She seems to me like a woman with alot of sass which we will all see more of in the future. I know that alot of the other Idol winners have had allot of changes made to their hair and clothing for their photo shoots and Album covers. Great marketing sells lots of CD’s and she is going to hit super stardom. I am so proud of her for taking a risk at her age, where most would not even take a chance for fear of negative criticism. Bravo Susan I look forward to your first CD album.
I thought a lesson was learned when Susan Boyle sang?? Never judge a book by it’s cover, but MOST important, how shallow can Extra be to immediately want to change this woman!! UGG!!
