Well he may have been considered or may have been interested,but with the huge delay the Ridley Scott Nottingham/Robin Hood movie and a couple of other movies inbetween, maybe he was unable to do it. I personally would have preferred Mr. Crowe.
But, playing Bill Clinton - yuck - he should have been impeached for what he did. I had enough of a movie about him when John Travolta played him in Primary Colors - which was really excellent. Travolta did a good job too..of course, no one admitted the book was even about Clinton until later…go figure.

I’d bet dollars Crowe didn’t even see a script for this TV movie. Why on earth would he be interested? Any “battle” is a figment of the imagination in the minds of publicity minded producers.
