Billy Ray: 'Nothing Funny' About Foxx's Miley Rant

Billy Ray Cyrus is standing up for his daughter! The singer/actor says Jamie Foxx's rant about Miley went too far.
On Thursday's "Bonnie Hunt Show," Cyrus says, "It was hurtful. There wasn't nothing (sic) funny about it. And, quite frankly, I think if I said those things about his daughter, he might not find it so comedic."
During an appearance on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," Foxx publicly apologized for the derisive comments he made about Miley on his Sirius Satellite Radio show. "The Soloist" star explained to Leno, "Sometimes as comedians, as we do, we go a little bit too far." He continued, "Miley, I apologize, so I'll call you."

TO: ‘please’ - GREAT COMMENTS! You hit the nail on the head! He wanted to lay out Michael Richards??? I’m glad I hadn’t heard that one. Most of us know to this day, that although Richards was wrong, and waaayyy out of line, he was DEFINITELY provoked in a racial manner, which is also wrong(you’ll never hear the tape, but I know someone that was there),and answered in kind. He was NEVER, in his wonderful career,in ANY bit of racial controversy before OR after. Miley Cyrus, however, didn’t do a thing to provoke this loser to attack her on radio, and say such deplorable things. That’s beyond uncalled for. I wish I were Billy Ray right about now…
