Who Did Jason Pick?

Romantics across America tuned in to "The Bachelor" season finale to see who Jason Mesnick would choose. It was down to 25-year-old Melissa Rycroft and 24-year-old Molly Malaney.

Jason popped the question to Melissa and she accepted, but the couple didn't live happily ever after. Mesnick admitted on the after show "The Bachelor: After the Final Rose" that things were not going to work out with Melissa because he still had feelings for Molly.

Jason revealed to host Chris Harrison, "Over the last few weeks, I haven't been able to stop thinking about Molly. If I could change the way I feel... I would do that, but I can't."

Jason confessed his feelings to Melissa. The Dallas sales rep called Mesnick a "bastard" and handed him her ring saying, "Don't call me. Don't text me anymore. Please." She stormed off the set.

Afterwards, Molly came out and Jason said, "I haven't been able to stop thinking about you." She looked stunned, but the couple decided to give it another shot. Molly said, "This is something I dreamed of but never thought I'd hear."

Find out if Molly and Jason are still together -- tonight on "The Bachelor: After The Final Rose, Part 2."

As Bachelor creator Mike Fleiss tells PEOPLE, “That’s patently untrue. It was [Jason’s] choice in New Zealand who he proposed to.” But after the show wrapped, Fleiss says, “HE WAS NOT IN LOVE WITH MELISSA ANYMORE and he was in love with Molly and he needed to make a change.”

Hey diane bailey, it is not carved in stone that Melissa has to be a school teacher. Maybe at that time in her life she did want to become a school teacher. My daughter went to school to become a school teacher and got her teaching credentials and guess what, she decided to work with the elderly, complete turn around. She is very happy with her job and working with the elderly.

When Melissa was exposed to DWTS, she might have thought being a correspondent would be a good job. There is nothing wrong with people changing their minds about their careers.

If an opportunity comes around for Melissa, more power to her. whatever she does, she has a winning smile and and a winning personality.

What are you going to do about it? Hold Melissa under lock and key and force her to become a school teacher? Who knows, she has her whole life ahead of her and she can do whatever her heart desires. It’s her life, not yours!

You are trying to find something wrong with melissa so you can knock her down. sorry charlie, that doesn’t work for me, just shows me how dumb and stupid you are.

Melissa is a FREE WOMAN and she is entitled to do whatever her heart desires.

Hey diane bailey, just shows me how dumb and stupid you are.

fake, phony, fraud…aka melissa of dwts. she has revealed in the latest edition of an entertainment magazine that her goal is to be an entertainment news correspondent. she was very clear on the bachelor to jason that she wanted to be a first grade teacher and that was a critical issue for jason. melissa is showing fake her true colors by now sharing her real reason for going on the bachelor. hers was about fame and getting into the entertainment arena not being a wife.

The producers said it was not in the contract for Jason to dump Melissa on national tv. Jason DID HAVE CHOICES. He lied about it, however Chris Harrison of the bachelor contratdicted what Jason said. So, Jason, lied, lied, lied. I saw the interview on GMA.

It was Jason’s call, and geez, Jason did it in such a hateful manner. It was not in his contract to purposely hurt Melissa in from of over 22 million viewers.

Melissa didn’t deserve it, then he turns around and is sucking face with Molly.

But that’s ok because Melissa became the darlng media.

Melissa is going places and will do more as far as opportunities goes. Jason wanted to hog up the spotlight and so much wanted to be an instant celebrity..

Jason knows he is the most hated bachelor and I heard he is doing the talk show circuit to do damage control.

I saw a pic of Jason and Molly somewhere in Hollywood and Molly looked bad. Her hair was down and it was frizzy. Such a short time with Jason and she is already looking bad. I feel sorry for her too because Molly is at Jason’s disposal. Jason can dump Molly at any given moment. He is selfish and is only looking out for himself.

I am hoping that he doesn’t dump Molly, she doesn’t deserve it. She doesn’t deserve to be dumped 2 times in a row.

Also, Jason wanted to be a celbrity and his bullsh*t has backfired on him.

Hollywood is on Melissa’s side and they are rallying around Melissa and they are rooting for her.

Jason’s loss is Melissa’s gain. I didn’t like the way he dumped her, however, Jason did Melissa a favor, Melissa is going places, Jason and Molly are not.

I love Melissa and I wish her the best and hope she wins DWTS. A whole new world has opened up for her and I am so happy for her. Go Team Melissa!

Go Team Melissa!

Well i think that jason was very hurtful and wrong to do what he did why didn’t he just pick Molly she not very pretty and they had already made out so way is she acting like she didn’t know and she was in this fake deicison from the strat I think that the producers shouldn’t have done this it hurt the ladies and guys to get eliemated as it is so why did they do this to a melissa on national tv.

Melissa “waltzed” her way into America’s hearts after being betrayed by bachelor Jason Mesnick on the most shocking and talked about season finale ever of ABC’s The Bachelor. With an outpouring of support and affection from viewers across America, a dignified Melissa has personified the courage to move on. Her journey continues as a participant on season eight of Dancing with the Stars, valiantly stepping in with less than a week to train when two celebrities were forced to withdraw due to injuries. She teams with Tony Dovolani, who returns for his seventh season

I am so excited for Molly & Jason. I believed Molly should have been Jason’s soul mate from the time the went bungy jumping. She’s an intelligent woman with a lot of integrity. Jason, also is an intelligent man, and who is thoughtful in many ways. I liked Jason from the time he got out of the limosine. The Bachelor is a fun show, but also a “Reality” show. If we watch I also believe we need to think for ourselves and realize that we have to except the process as it unfolds, whether it be days, weeks months or if the couple makes it or ends it. So, I hope Jason and Molly are true to themselves and to eachother. They look very happy together and I think we all should celebrate their happiness after the show. It turned out to be a “Love” story afterall. As, for Melissa. She too, is an intelligent woman, and I believe that where shi is now is very exciting to her future.

For all you Bachelor fans, I read on the internet, Saturday, before the Final Rose episode that the producers decided to make it look as though Jason chose Melissa and then broke it off, to turn around and get back with Molly, for the ratings, of course. In reality, I believe Jason chose Molly. The producers paid the 3 of them to play it out as it did, and they signed papers to keep the real story quiet. They’re all great actors, aren’t they?
I WILL NOT be watching this show EVER again.

That is what happens when people get paid big bucks to air their life publicly. It is like a long, drawn out Jerry Springer episode, but with million dollar dates paid for by the network, and a little more class. No one deserves heartbreak, but come on he was making out with everyone so how does he even know who he likes. He is like a horney teenage boy. Give me a break

The whole thing is just stupid !!! All he talked about was Ty ty ty, then he proposes to Melissa, makes it known to Ty, spends the holidays with her and then breaks it off. All that bs about not wanting any of the girls to meet Ty was a crock of sh—. Hopefully his son won’t end up being a coward, lowlife womanizer. Carma is a b——-

Even though I was for Team Melissa, I am glad that it happened when it did because she deserves to be happy and now she can start her own family instead of living up to Jason’s expectation with Ty. I was furious for her but she will have no problem finding someone, but lets just hope the next one is more of a man with integrity and not ignorance.

Well I truly feel sorry for Melissa. But honestly I don’t think she would want to spend the rest of her life with someone that has feelings for another person. I think Jason made the right decision..

I am very sorry for Melissa; but if Jason didn’t feel it would work out for a lifetime, it is better they find it out now. I wish the best to Jason & Molly.

Jason did a horrible and stupid thing. Melissa is such a sweet, nice, kind and loving girl. Molly has no emotion whatsoever, her face shows no warmth or affection, and also he forgets that her parents showed no affection for each other, and he had questioned her about that. She even said in one of the last episodes that she’s not really an emotional person. I think she is VERY fake and their relationship will not work. She also did not connect well with Ty. She is very superficial. Stupid Jason, you made a HUGE mistake and everyone has lost a lot of respect for you.

I think Jason is not what you think he is Im really sorry and my sympathy to Melisa but Jason might of made the right choice.

So does anybody else realize that the couples sign a contract with the network to publicly show all aspects of the relationship or they get sued?
I mean, I wish he hadn’t proposed in the first place, but Melissa & Jason were broken up BEFORE the after the rose ceremony — she hadn’t been wearing the ring, and knew already about his feelings. The network just wanted to make it seem like he was doing it for the first time publicly.
Personally, I think it’s a sad state of affairs that the networks have resorted to this disgusting TV to improve ratings … if we contine to watch, why would they change it??

I think Molly is a fool and noone will have any sympathy for her when he changes his mind in due time. She was obviously 2nd choice, so I don’t know why she feels so special. I can’t wait to see how long it takes them to break-up! Girls are dumb! And Jason was a jerk to do that to melissa. She is a great girl. She can do much better.

Jason is the biggest *sshole! He said the same thing to Melissa that he did to Molly when he dumped her “it was real”. Blah, blah blah. Molly is a flipping fool if she lets him back in. Did anyone ever ask why his first marriage didn’t work out? His parents and family were so worried about him getting hurt and look what a jerk he turned out to be and did it all on national television. All that to with a son in tow. Jason deserves to be alone and married to his hand, if you know what I mean. His Character is crap now! I hope Melissa finds her prince charming. She is a beautiful and sweet girl. Yes she should be the next bachelorette and Jason should be the next Weezel.

I am so disgusted with what Jason did. What nerve of him to dump Melissa and then two seconds later tell Molly he wants her…no class!
Making out so not necessary!!!
He will do the same to Melissa, its only a matter of time.

I agree that he should have taken Deanna back because they are both clueless in what they really want. Its just all for the show…
