"Desperate Housewives" sex kitten and funnyman David Spade have been popping up together in Hollywood lately -- and Ellen DeGeneres wants to know what's going on!

Spade sat down with Ellen, who bluntly asked about the couple, saying, "Are you dating her or not?" David kept his answer vague and said, "We've gone out a few times as friends, I think it's less dating and more her killing time." Huh?!

"Extra" wants to know -- Do you think Nicollette and David are together?
