I suffer from many conditions that cause me to have to watch my diet. Please help me to save me. Cynthia

TOSCA'S ANSWER:
Hello Cynthia. I hear your concern in your words. Truly I want to help, and it literally begins with what you are putting in your mouth. We must stop and think, "Is this food poisoning me or building a healthier me?" If we begin to take responsibility for our own health, it is far more empowering than crossing your fingers and hoping the doctors can help fix it all. Start today by changing even your breakfast routine. Prepare a bowl of oatmeal and top it with unsweetened applesauce. Enjoy that while 4 eggs are boiling on the stove. Then eat those 4 whites + one yolk and drink plenty of water. See if that doesn't change things right away.
I am always listening!

Hello, my husband is a diabetic and I would like for him to eat better. Can you tell me where I can get a good cookbook with healty recipes for him and my family as well. Can you please send me any information that you have on hand. I look forward hearing from you. He also has other health issues, that I must try to help him with. Thank you. - Lenoir

TOSCA'S ANSWER:
Hello Lenoir.
There are many good cookbooks available for diabetics - some better than others. Always check to make sure what you purchase comes from a reputable source. Although the Eat Clean Diet Cookbook is not officially approved by the American Diabetes Association, they have reviewed the book and agree with the idea of eating 6 small meals each day spaced every three hours. In each of these 6 meals you must consume 4 to 5 ounces of lean protein along with plenty of fibrous (slow burning) complex carbohydrates. This is the recipe for good health. If you visit my website www.toscareno.com you can find the cookbook there. I will sign it personally if you like. Otherwise, visit the American Diabetes Association website for more good information. Empower yourself and your good health with excellent nutrition.
Sincerely,
Tosca Reno

Your stories were really told so fast. It was really hard for me to get the info I needed for the free books.
I am 51 with really bad arthritis and a diabetic. I live in the snowy state of Michigan winter wonderland, Since I have been cooped up inside with out any chance to go out doors. my flair ups are frequent and I dont want to take any more drugs. please help. - Mary Anita

TOSCA'S ANSWER:
Hello Mary Anita.
I hear you about the cold weather! Haven't we had enough of it already? I would love for you to realize the power of excellent health. It all begins with your nutrition decisions, today, right now. Believe it or not, 80% of how you feel and look has to do with what goes down your throat. You really want your food choices to be of the best quality. For a start you need to ditch sugar now, not tomorrow. Right now! If you could do that you might be surprised at how amazing even that small change will make you feel. Please try it. Then you must get moving even if it is just up and down the stairs. One set a day for a week. Slow but steady is how you get there. I want to hear about your success by the end of the week.
Sincerely,
Tosca Reno

Hi. My name is James and I, too, am a diabetic. My doctor told me that diabetics, in order to lose weight, need to exercise double the time regular people do due to the medication and how the disease effects the body in general. You must move more, in addition to eating healthier, in order to improve yourself enough to not need your medication or injections. Exercise, food, and medication create a stool for a diabetics life. If not enough of one, everything else is useless. In order to not to be able to take medication, you must exercise and eat healthy so that third leg, the medication, is not needed. Please check with your doctor before starting any exercise program. I find exercising throughout the day, versus at one lump sum is best. Park further from the store, walk within the shopping center verses driving around, etc. is what helps to do it for me. - James Grimes

TOSCA'S ANSWER:
Hello James.
Thank you for writing. Sugar is public enemy number 1! Get rid of it now! I mean that! Natural sugars from fruit and dairy are fine but anything else is poison. Then get some fiber in you. Follow a good eating plan - Eating Clean has helped many folks clean up their health and their physiques. I promise that even without exercise (although exercise promotes good health) you will see changes fast. Healthy, positive changes that you need. Give it a try.
All the best,
Tosca Reno

I have worked out most of my life and have a thin build by nature. At around 45 I started seeing puffiness and cellulite. I have changed my workouts and been eating clean for 2 years. The results are amazing. I wish all people with weight and health issues would read your book. It is much simpler to control weight than they think and much more tastier. I wish I could yell it out loud to get everyones attention. So many people and children are suffering needlessly. My friends and family have all tried some of your recipes and love them. A lot of my friends are tired of hearing me talk about clean eating as I do every day. I am reading your book again as it is important for people to understand how differnet foods work with your body. If they did , controlling their weight would be much easier for them. Channel 12 news (WPB,Fl) just had a report on 3-23 about women and and weight loss. They said you cannot loose weight without proper diet but can loose weight with out working out if you eat healthy. The health benefits are still awesome even if no weight loss but diet is the key , as you state in your book. I am really happy I found out about clean eating. It has changed my life and results from my workouts.

Hi,
Your article on BCAA was really interesting. I have incorporated the grain Quinoa with my brown rice and and black beans to my diet. Quinoa provides 10 essentail amino acids. I am looking for a more natural way to get these amino acids other than taking a supplement. I realize the whey proteins shakes provide the animos, but I really can’t handle a shake before and after a workout. What are your thoughts on this grain.

Hello Tosca, please I have a question. I just bought the clean eating diet book and I was wondering I was looking at brown rice protein powder it has 56 calories, and 1 gram of total fat, no added sweetners, and 2 grams of carbohydrates Is this a good choice? Or There is hemp protein powder but it has 120 calories in 4 scoops and no added sweetners it did have more carbs 14 which one is better? I am a suedo vegetarian Meaning I eat eggs and fish. although lately I have gone back to incorporating chicken breast (skinless) in my diet one in awhile.Cooking raw beans is to time consuming. Please help Tosca I don’t have a whole foods so I have to order some stuff online. sincerely, Corinne Johnson
