Rihanna's Dad: 'I'm Behind Her'

Pop star Rihanna has reconciled with her reportedly abusive boyfriend, Chris Brown -- and Rihanna's father says he supports his daughter in all the decisions she makes.

"Whatever road she chooses, I'm behind her," Ronald Fenty confessed to People magazine. "We are a family who stick together even though we are apart," the Barbados native added.

Fenty admitted that he hadn't spoken to the "Disturbia" singer since her 21st birthday earlier this month, and learned about Rihanna and Brown getting back together through media reports about their Miami getaway.

Fenty has faith that his daughter will make the right decision, telling the magazine, "She's a smart girl." When asked what he feels about Brown, Fenty simply replied, "I have no comment on Chris Brown."

Do you think Rihanna should have taken Chris back? Vote now!

We should stop judging them and hope for the best in the situation. I believe that if they’re committed to each other and he continues to receive help with his issues and is committed to change it will work out. Even though her father may not be happy with her decision he believes in his daughter and he will support her and that shows his love for her he’ll be there with her and help her not judge her or desert her. Love Chris&Rihanna :)

I just hope that we won’t eventually hear the news that Chris committed suicide in the impending future!!! as it mysteriously occurs in cases such as this where too many lies exist and someone has the overwhelming support of associates and friends that are more than willing to jump on the sympathy wagon and engage in retaliatory assault without all the facts being known. NOBODY WANTS TO BE OR ENJOYS BEING ASSAULTED!!FORGIVENESS IS REQUIRED, BUT WE DON’T HAVE TO RETURN TO OUR OWN VOMIT! There are several reasons that women stay in an abusive relationship, but the number 1 motivator for this is because they have no support system! which Rihanna is clearly not lacking in any form or fashion. Fear that she could not make it on her own without chris? obviously not the case! Reliance on financial support from chris? I beg to differ! she can definitely pull her own weight and does not lack in appeal or talent! Somebody, please tell me what Rihanna is lacking in her life that would make her want to cling to her abuser? PRIDE GOETH BEFORE A FALL, and I have to wonder whether this is a case of seperation anxiety and someone did not know how to deal with rejection? Too many questions with no truthful answers are entangled between the lines of this bizarre episode for me!The both of them should move on without the other in this case, because it has become a cesspool of assumptions and the stage has been forever set for further violence to occur whether it is real or imagined in the future, no matter who chris takes up with after Rihanna. Whatever way the table turns, chris browns reputation and career is ruined; he had better get used to asking permission from “Big Mama” to remove his hands from his pockets!

All these ppl with all these comments kill me. You all have no Idea what is going on only what the media tells you. You have no idea what led u to tis event. You have no Idea about what is really going on. I dont thnk either one of the careers should suffer. Look @ Tina! Look @ R KElly. Look at all these celbs on drugs , neglecting their kids, their careers are still strong. Give It up !

I think their relationship will grow if they stay together, and they’ll ok.

I heard on the news that both their careers could suffer, too much drama from both of them. And Rihanna taking CB back, it sends the wrong signal to her young fans that abuse ok. To rihanna fans: be smart and don’t follow in Rihanna’s foot steps, be strong and be wise. Learn from what happened to Rihanna, she has her head up her a** mired in sh*t that she is not able to focus on herself. She has a twisted sordid outlook on life that abuse is ok. It is not cool to be abused. Don’t ever be with a man that is abusive.

I am sorry, as a parent, I would never support my child to go back to his/her abuser. I would seriously have to hurt whomever physically hurt my child. You dont mess with a mama bear and her cubs, do you?

Once an abuser always an abuser. I am so done hearing about these two.

Rihanna could have been a rolemodel for women everywhere, but chose to perpetuate the stereotype of battered women instead. I hope all ends well for her, but I also hope that the public will choose to boycott both Rihanna and Chris Brown. What a shame!

Rihanna’a dad should give CB MAN LESSONS. Lessons CB will learn for life and he will never lay his hands on a woman again.

Saudi Arabia? Keep your 19th century ignorance out of our websites. Your men are so weak they prey on women to feel strong. Rihanna needs mental health help.
