'Real Housewives' Countess Splits from Count!

Countess LuAnn de Lesseps enjoys a life of luxury on "The Real Housewives of New York City" -- but LuAnn was blindsided when her husband allegedly started seeing someone else!

According to Page Six, the former model and her husband, Count de Lesseps, have decided to split. "They decided to separate," an insider revealed. "She got wind he was seeing somebody and he didn't answer her when she called. He finally sent her an e-mail saying he was with an Ethiopian woman in Geneva and he was serious with her."

LuAnn was shocked by the revelation -- she and the Count recently celebrated their 16th anniversary. "She was just devastated," the insider added. "They have basically lived apart for many years -- he lives in Europe and comes and goes as he pleases, but she never thought this would happen."

A rep for the countess tells the paper, "It is obviously a very difficult time for the countess and count, but they plan to remain friends and their primary focus will be to do what is best for their two children."

How sad that people are happy about this. It says more about them than it does Lou Ann. The vicious ones on this show are Bethany and Ramona. All they do is gossip and cause troubles.

I just heard about the split. I feel for anyone with children having to go through such a thing, no matter who they are or how rich. Hopefully other doors will open..we all learn from the what we experience. I, for one, hope she comes out on the other side with peace and happiness.

whoa how could she miss it, i watched the show a few times and knew something was up, hello! get a clue. she is so busy being shallow she forgot what’s really important. maybe now she will give her son the time of day. shame on her for always walking out on when he asks her to spend time with him. time to return to reality.

The only reason this isn’t hysterical is because there are two minor children involved. It must be serious,men have had mistresses for ages. He is on a bon voyage. Apparently, the Count did not read any books on etiquette or else he would not have broken up with her by email. The Count’s ancestor helped build the Suez Canal in Africa using forced labour. I don’t believe in karma but I hope this Ethiopian woman takes all of the smitten creature’s money.
