Obama Nabs $500K in Book Deal!

President Obama earned $2.5 million in royalties after penning "Dreams from My Father" and "The Audacity of Hope" -- now the Prez stands to make even more after scoring a children's book deal!
According to the Washington Times, Obama received a $500K advance on January 15 from Crown Publishing after agreeing to write another version of "Dreams from My Father" for middle school children.
It is common for presidents to sign book deals after leaving the White House, but unusual for a Commander-in-Chief to nab one before taking office. Barack Obama has long encouraged teenagers to turn to books instead of television, and prompted parents to become more involved in their children's reading habits.
