Melissa Rycroft's New Beau Revealed!

"The Bachelor" Jason Mesnick broke Melissa's heart on national television -- but the former Dallas Cowboys cheerleader isn't crying over Jason! Rycroft, 25, conquered the dance floor on "Dancing with the Stars" -- and was spotted at a dance studio in WeHo with insurance agent beau, Ty!

NEXT: Michael Lohan: I'm Concerned for My Daughter

As Bachelor creator Mike Fleiss tells PEOPLE, “That’s patently untrue. It was [Jason’s] choice in New Zealand who he proposed to.” But after the show wrapped, Fleiss says, “HE WAS NOT IN LOVE WITH MELISSA ANYMORE and he was in love with Molly and he needed to make a change.”

it is not carved in stone that Melissa has to be a school teacher. Maybe at that time in her life she did want to become a school teacher. My daughter went to school to become a school teacher and got her teaching credentials and guess what, she decided to work with the elderly, complete turn around. She is very happy with her job and working with the elderly.

When Melissa was exposed to DWTS, she might have thought being a correspondent would be a good job. There is nothing wrong with people changing their minds about their careers.

If an opportunity comes around for Melissa, more power to her. whatever she does, she has a winning smile and and a winning personality.

What are you going to do about it? Hold Melissa under lock and key and force her to become a school teacher? Who knows, she has her whole life ahead of her and she can do whatever her heart desires. It’s her life, not yours!

You are trying to find something wrong with melissa so you can knock her down. sorry charlie, that doesn’t work for me, just shows me how dumb and stupid you are.

Melissa is a FREE WOMAN and she is entitled to do whatever her heart desires.

Jason the jerk humilated Melissa on tv with over 22 million viewers watching. I knotice that you didn’t mention anything about Jason that he has done. He is most hated bachelor, a crybaby, a wimpy man who has no personality, no heart and no empathy for people. Jason is looking out for Jason. He treats women like they are butt wipes.

This is Melissa’s time to shine. Go Melissa, good job!!!!

fake, phony, fraud…aka melissa of dwts. she has revealed in the latest edition of an entertainment magazine that her goal is to be an entertainment news correspondent. she was very clear on the bachelor to jason that she wanted to be a first grade teacher and that was a critical issue for jason. melissa is showing fake her true colors by now sharing her real reason for going on the bachelor. hers was about fame and getting into the entertainment arena not being a wife.

Jason left us with this kicker: “I had to hurt people in a way, but I feel I did it with integrity.” (Well, the show is all about FANTASIES, right?) Oh, and Jillian — who made it to Jason’s top three — will be the new “Bachelorette” when that show returns to the air in May. OK, I might watch.

Has anyone else noticed/mentioned that TY is also the name of Jason’s kid?

That is such a strange coincidence for her to have TY in her life even if he is not the TY she was hoping for.
Weird how the world works.

Whether she wins DWTS or not, Melissa is still a winner.

Hollywood has embraced and welcomed Melissa with open arms. She is definitely not hated in Hollywood. Melissa is well loved by Hollywood people and celebrities.

I just love her to pieces, she is such a sweetheart and I am for Team Melissa, you go Melissa.

Melissa Rycroft: This no longer beaten down Bachelorette may be the one to beat this season. Melissa positively sizzled out there and, despite Tony Dovolani’s really ugly brown outfit, theirs was the most captivating salsa of the night. “That was slammin’!” Carrie Ann raved, while Len admitted to gyrating in his seat.
Score: 26

Gilles Marini: And we thought it wasn’t going to get any better. The French actor may be falling apart at the seams, but you couldn’t tell from watching his quickstep, which despite being a prim ballroom number still had the steam of a Latin dance about it. The Clark Kent glasses in the Superman-inspired number only added to the overall hotness.
Score: 27

For the record, doctors say that Steve-O hasn’t broken anything, and he’s still hoping to rejoin the show for tomorrow’s elimination. Which, for him, hopefully won’t be a goodbye party, as well.

In the vein of American Idol’s recent rules switcheroo, DWTS has also added a new twist—the bottom two couples will have one more chance to dance for the judges Tuesday in hopes of boosting their scores. Whether or not a few extra points will help remains to be seen.

Here’s a rundown of the leaderboard, totaling scores from this week and last:

Gilles and Cheryl: 51
Melissa and Tony: 49
Shawn and Mark: 47
Lil Kim and Derek: 44
Chuck and Julianne: 40
Denise and Maksim: 39
Holly and Dmitry: 36
David and Kym: 36
Lawrence and Edyta: 36
Belinda and Jonathan: 35
Ty and Chelsie: 34
Steve-O and Lacey: 31
Steve and Karina: 30

GO TEAM MELISSA!!!!! Not only has she shown herself to be a lady while being humiliated on national TV but a lady on the dance floor as well.

Drawing on her dance from her much younger years has helped, as well as being a Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader will help, but it’s she who will determine where she places. We TEXANS are not easy to stay down. IF we fall off we dust ourselves off and get right back in the saddle. Just like Melissa has done and so elquently I might add.

Show them how a Texas lady wins Melissa.
Good luck and God bless!

Why must Extra report in a snide manner “what’s it been, two weeks since she was dumped…”? Check your facts, the episode on which they officially broke up was filmed more than 6 weeks ago (about 8 weeks now) - and we all know the split wasn’t a surprise, but his having not fessed up to the reasons was the real issue at the filming.

Why must the “media” and entertainment shows try to make EVERYONE out to be bad. Good for Melissa that she’s moved on and hopefully she’s met her match.

I love melissa’s bubbly personality and she is a beauty with a wonderful heart.

I love the fact that she is with a stud, her new boyfriend. Jason was a little man with a little personality.

I am hoping he doesn’t dump Molly. Molly also seems to be a nice girl.

Time will tell.

Jason wanted fame and fortune and to be part of the “Hollywood Crowd”, well his well devised plans totally BACKFIRED ON JASON.

Jason, which celebrity would want to rub elbows with you after they saw what a horrible person you are, selfish and self centered.

And you were so wicked when you dumped Molly and then asked Molly back. Please don’t break molly’s heart his time, Molly doesn’t deserve it. Be kind to Molly this time. Molly is a kind gal who so much deserves happiness.

- Jason, u r out of the Hollywood bunch, treat women better next time

Does anyone know what type of ring Melissa has on her left hand and is it from Ty, I noticed it last week on DWTS. Thank you

Jason so much wanted positive publicity, instead it backfired on him. He really worked it with the Deanna thing to get sympathy. Sorry Charlie, you went about it the wrong way.

well, he’s got Molly and they can go and settle in Seatle and live happily ever after. I hope he doesn’t dump Molly either, she seems like a nice gal too.

I am proud of Melissa, she is resillient and bounced right back, she doesn’[t hold grudges and she believes in moving on regardles of situations where they are good or bad. She is a sensible gal. Go team Melissa, hold your head up high and keeping going. There’s a whole world of opportunities for you, one door had to close so another could open.

- I am proud of Melissa

- Go team Melissa

Well if she wins, it will be on her own accord. She was a dallas cowboy cheerleader and took dancing lessons when she was young.

It took her a couple of days to learn her dance routine and she got a decent score, I saw the dance and she looked lovely.

There are other favorites that could win, so Melissa’s won’t be getting sympathy votes. The votes will be because of her dancing.

That sh*t between her and Jason is over and life goes on.

I’m just glad we ALL have the opportunity to vote so that Melissa doesn’t get to advance due to the sympathy votes she will get regardless of whether she & her partner dance by the rules of the judges.
