Melissa: 'DWTS' No Bed of Roses

0319rycroft.jpg

The rose ceremonies during Jason Mesnick's stint as "The Bachelor" were nerve-wracking for Melissa Rycroft -- but nowhere near as scary as the dance-offs during "Dancing with the Stars"!

Rycroft confessed that the elimination format in "DWTS" is "definitely" more nerve-wracking than facing Jason and his limited number of roses.

The former Dallas Cowboys cheerleader and her professional partner Tony Dovolani earned some of the show's highest scores, but Melissa still breathed a huge sigh of relief when she found out they were safe. "It's fair to say nobody's safe, no matter how high your scores are," she told Us Weekly, adding that during the elimination show Tuesday, "all of our hearts were pounding."

"We worked really hard and made it, and now we get to start all over again," Rycroft said. "I don't think it's going to be any easier because each week it's a brand new routine. We had the salsa routine, but now we've got to throw that out the window and start fresh!"

The athletic beauty is dancing the foxtrot next week -- and admits that she has work to do! "I have no idea what the foxtrot even is!"

Find out how Melissa and her fellow stars fare on the floor when "Dancing with the Stars" airs Monday on ABC!

I want to be on the Bachelor and be dumped so I can be a star like Melissa. I hope Shaun wins, but I wish Melissa the best and if she does win she deserves it.

There have been other stars with
some dancing experience, and no one
complained as loudly. More power
to Melissa. She’s doing what any
person would do to move on and
heal. Jason had used, abused and
betrayed Melissa’s feelings like
a fallback butt call. To the other
DWTS participants, don’t get
pulled into the garbage and have
fun dancing!

It is definitely down to Melissa, Shawn, and Gilles (sp?)… All the rest are just there to keep the show going for 12 weeks. Melissa and Shawn are both phenomenal young women. I wish there could be a tie between the two of them. …

I don’t think Melissa has to worry about a dance-off. She is amazing, and could very well win this.

I wish Melissa the best of luck. She is a sweet gal with so much to give. Someday, she will make a lucky young man very happy.
As for Jason and Melissa, their relationship would have never worked and therefore, it’s best to say goodbye earlier than later. The producers of the show created a very uncomfortable situation for Jason, Melissa and Molly. I blame the producers of the bachelor however, I would rather see a break-up than a divorce.
I wish Jason and Molly much happiness and I hope Melissa goes all the way with DWTS.
Life is too short…it’s best to be happy and let go.

Isn’t she a former dancer? I thought the rules were no previous training. But I suppose they have to let it slide if they are going to allow athletes in the competition. I think it is kind of silly to call her a “star,” but I suppose we may see her co-hosting on,”The view,” someday, blabbing away with the Survivor’s “star.”
And Jason is no saint, but what he did happens all the time. Any woman dating a man knowing he is dating other women at the same time really shouldn’t expect too much. Turn the cameras off and take away the fantasy suites for the fantasy dates, and you got 2 people in reality who probably don’t really like each other. I doubt the fact that she is now on DWTS is really going to hurt him. If he is shallow and all he cares about is being with the flavor of the week, maybe. BUt some sort of “stardom” for her doesn’t change the fact that he just wasn’t that into her when Bachelor cameras stopped and the stardom wasn’t there. if he was just a person in everyday life who dumped someone cuz he made a mistake, he would probably be supported and understood. But do it on tv and suddenly it is such a wrong thing to do. We didn’t get to see what they were like together after the show. and who cares, really? It is a crazy show!!

I feel sorry for Molly because she is so naive! She got stuck with you!
Hopefully, she will open up her eyes and think before she walks down the aisle with you!! You are VERY untrustworthy! Poor Ty!! He must be so confused!! Tisk Tisk!! Shame on you, Jason!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As Bachelor creator Mike Fleiss tells PEOPLE, “That’s patently untrue. It was [Jason’s] choice in New Zealand who he proposed to.” But after the show wrapped, Fleiss says, “HE WAS NOT IN LOVE WITH MELISSA ANYMORE and he was in love with Molly and he needed to make a change.”

Bachelor Creator: The Outcome Was Never Staged
March 3, 2009

ABC’s reality series The Bachelor has had its share of surprising endings, but Jason Mesnick’s on-camera breakup with fiancée Melissa Rycroft and subsequent reunion with runner-up Molly Malaney has been by far the most shocking. But online rumors persist: Was the show’s outcome fixed?

As Bachelor creator Mike Fleiss tells PEOPLE, “That’s patently untrue. It was [Jason’s] choice in New Zealand who he proposed to.” But after the show wrapped, Fleiss says, “HE WAS NOT WITH MELISSA ANYMORE and he was in love with Molly and he needed to make a change.”

JASON JUST TURNS HIS EMOTIONS ON AND OFF. MELISSA DIDN’T KNOW WHY JASON WAS NOT TRYING TO MAKE IT WORK BETWEEN THEM TWO.

THE VERY MOMENT HE PROPOSED TO MELISSA, HE KNEW THEN THAT HE WAS NOT IN LOVE WITH MELISSA. WHEN HE CRIED FOR MOLLY, THATS’ THE VERY MOMENT HE REALIZED MELISSA WAS NOT FOR HIM.

JASON IS SUCH A JERK, IF I WAS THE WOMEN, I WOULD HAVE SLAPPED HIM FOR BEING AN IMPOSTER, A LIAR AND A JERK.

JASON IS VERY DEVIOUS, I HOPE HE STAYS AWAY FROM MELISSA PERIOD.

AND AS FAR AS JUDGING, MELISSA WILL NOT GET SYMPATHY VOTES. THE FANS HAVE THEIR COUPLE WHO THEY WANT TO WIN DWTS, SO I THINK IT WILL BE A FAIR PROCESS. I AM VOTING FOR WHOMEVER I THINK IS THE BEST DANCER, WHETHER IT’S MALE OR FEMALE.I WANT TO BE FAIR WITH ALL THE DANCERS.

I AM VOTING FOR WHOMEVER I THINK IS THE BEST DANCER,

It’s been said because she has dance experience, it was an unfair advantage for her. I know others in the entertainment world that have had some dance experience, but definitely not ballroom. The disadavantage to the rest of the cast is Melissa coming off the highly publicized hoopla from the Bachelor & getting the sympathy votes. She is highly recognizeable since it happened within a week’s time of her appearing on DWTS. It hurts the others on there that don’t really have a fan base because they aren’t really out there in the news. For that reason, I feel like DWTS compromised their chances when they got somebody that was on TV in everyone’s face for the last few weeks.

Melissa is getting flack because she has danced and been a cheerleader. She is astounding in DWTS. Just a joy to watch after what she just went thru on Nat’l tv wth the Bachelor. I hope she wins for sure. All of them have a good run yknow? But she outshines them all. Very much public affection for her too. Im glad for her.

The thing that ticks me off is that the moment he sent molly packing, he realized he wanted to be with Molly. Jason strung Melissa along, what a creep.

He could have talked to the producers and told them right there he made a mistake. When he found out Melissa was not the one he wanted to be with, he should have never proposed to Melissa and explained to her how he felt about Molly, he could have dumped there right on the spot instead of prolonging the process.

Jason knew what he was doing yet chose to continue with his hatefulness in hurting both Molly and Melissa.

Jason had options and the producers of the show have said that as well. Jason was trying to blame it on the show. Chris Harrison contradicted everything Jason had said. Meaning, Jason is a liar and he was trying to blame anything or anyone for his lame attitude towards the girls.

Jason is a wimpy man and even stated that the bachelor show is like a fantasy.

He wasn’t taking the show serious. He is selfish and self centered. Now, I am wondering how long he will be with Molly. Will he dump her also? Maybe not, BIRDS OF A FEATHER FLOCK TOGETHER.

HE did Melissa a big favor, even though I didn’t like the way he dumped her. Then he turns around and gives Molly a wet kiss. He has no morals, no character and he is so deceitful.

He is no Gentleman to me, he is a user and a huge LIAR. He is worthless as they come. Jason has no identifiable qualities. I guess he had a good teacher, DEANNA. No, Jason tops DEANNA IN DOING HIS DASTARDLY DEED.

AND , I don’t care who he ends up with, I just don’t like his nasty method of treating women, like they are second class citizens. hE IS A WOLF IN SHEEPS CLOTHING. Jason betrayed both girls.

jason has no morals, no character and he is so deceitful

Love, Melissa. She can dance!

Melissa, you can do it. It must be hard for everyone and I admire everyone on the show.

It must be a good workout for contestants to lose weight while they are participating.

I like all the contestants, however, Gilles is my favorite, he’s hot.
