'Housewife' Bensimon: Lawsuit is 'Unsettling'

Kelly Killoren Bensimon, a star of "The Real Housewives of New York City," faced a judge this morning on charges of assaulting her boyfriend, Nicolas Stefanov -- and detailed to "Extra" how the arrest is affecting her day-to-day life.

"I'm really upset by the entire process," Kelly reveals to "Extra" exclusively. "My beautiful girls and I are being exposed to a horrible situation. I just think it's unsettling -- I support all my friends and my friends have been really amazing with me."

The former model stressed that her concern over the case is entirely about her children. "It's not really about me. It's about my girls. My girls don't need to be exposed to something like this. It's really inappropriate -- I don't want to speak ill of anyone. That's not who I am. I don't want to do that."

Bensimon's lawyer, Ed Hayes, explained to "Extra" what went down in the courtroom. "He's [Stefanov] not ready. He didn't show up. The guy didn't come. We came. He didn't. What can I tell ya? If he doesn't show up from now till then [June 8th], they'll dismiss the case. It's not a real case. He just wants to make her life uncomfortable."

Stefanov claims that Bensimon punched him in the face during a heated argument. Kelly turned herself in on March 5, two days after the alleged altercation, and was released on her own recognizance.

Kelly is an idiot. She constantly tries to pretend like she is better and has more manners/class than everybody else, but clearly that is not true. I can’t stand her constantly lying…. and she looks like a teenage boy with the legs of a model.

Kelly really comes across as the quintessential ‘do as I say, not as I do’ bimbo. If she was really concerned about her childrens’ well-being, she wouldn’t be exposing them to this court case, she go the thing rolling but won’t accept responsibility for her actions.

As for her freak-out on Bethenney, da*n, she came across as so completely whack-o! Either she’s a complete airhead, or the editors hate her as much as the viewers!

Why aren’t you “blowing up” this incident? There seems to be a double standard here and I’m not just talking about male vs female abuser. Where are exaggerated police photos of his bloody and bruised face? This story should be plastered across the news until her entire life and career are ruined just like Cris Brown! Where are you Extra?!!!!

This is another case of he said, she said,,, it looks like this guy (as, I can’t call him a gentlemen, from his behavior), is looking for the spotlight.. The truth is not known and I would do anything to protect my child. This entire show basically calls out others and how the live… how fake the majority is… Kelly is a little more honest and doesn’t fit in ….. You have to be all about yourself and act like you have all the money by buying junk and bigger homes…Just, like the fake Countess who is now divorcing…. as her husband can now see the real her…. Kelly, run from this show……. Keep your sanity..

I can’t stand her in the show it’s all about her. I wish they never added her to the show. When her and Bethenny got into it Kelly said she thought Bethenny was acting like she was in high school again, when actually Kelly was the one that was acting like she was in high school. And with her saying her kids doesn’t need to be exposed to this well KELLY YOU SHOULD HAVE THOUGHT ABOUT THAT BEFORE YOU HIT THE GUY.

Oh dear, it’s all your fault. Your girls must be ashamed by their mother anyway, exposing them in a TV show that doesn’t mean anything to anyone.

She is so full of herself that she can’t see how her actions on the show hurt her girls. She is mean to most women on the show but extremely friendly with all the men!! I really feel sorry for her girls, they have a Mom who is trailer trash all the way!!!

Am I supposed to have sympathy for someone who actually brought her problems on herself? You want to be respected? Don’t go around punching people in the face? I agree this wek we saw the true Kelly. If she was truly the bigger person she would have let it go with Bethany. Walked away and just not had a relationship. I don’t know who she thinks she is anyway. Middle America doesn’t know who she is anyway, she is not a celebrity outside New York. We only know her name because her ex husband is a prize on America’s Next Top Model. Get Over Yourself.

If a man was accused of this he be in jail. Once domestic charges have been filed I thought it was out of the hands of the victims and in the DA office.

Many victims change there stories. However he had a black eye and I think the police took pictures. She clearly has something on this guy to scare him off.

Do I belive she decked him. Oh Yea! She got nut job written all over her face.

Seriously - the tan is horrific and her skin looks like leather - the wrinkles are taking over her face and neck - her arrogance is not to be believed - and as a mother - geesh. If you don’t want your children to be exposed to the improprieties of your life, then clean up your life. They won’t be exposed if you keep your mouth shut and keep your head down. But noooo - you had to give Extra an interview - so of course your children will be exposed cause you’ll use them to your benefit. Trash - just simply trash.
