Paying Respects to Richardson

The lights of Broadway dimmed Thursday night for Natasha Richardson. Her friends and family -- including husband Liam Neeson, mother Vanessa Redgrave and sister Joely Richardson -- gathered to pay their respects to a gifted actress, loving wife and devoted mother.

Neeson was comforted by many well-wishers during the tribute, including Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick. At the Broadway revival of "West Side Story," A-listers expressed their sympathies to "Extra" about the tragedy.

"Such a tragic end to such a beautiful... loving... sparkling presence," model Christie Brinkley said. Actress Dana Delaney revealed, "I have known Tasha for a long time, and I am kind of in shock right now."

If you would like to send a message to Natasha's family, please post a comment below.

Mrs. Richardson was truly a wonderful actress and mother. My heart goes out to Liam and the boys. She is a better place and nobody could ever hold a candle to her.

Liam-May God be with you and your 2 boys- You can treasure the love and vibrant carma Natasha bestowed on everyone around her! She will always be with you in your heart and with the children. I read the article of Natasha expressing her blessings of finding her soul mate-you! and, likewise- Millions never find that love that she had for you and the love you two have for your family. Our prayers with be with you- God will help you on this journey. some people don’t understand the pain of a loved one- but- they understand the love invested between your family. My thoughts and prayers do go out to Liam and his family.
But I think it is disrespectful to show on Extra and all the other media shows the funeral, carrying the casket on national television. Families whether celebrities or not deserve respect and privacy. And don’t think the media gave that respect.

My heart, prayers, and deep, deep wishes of empathy go out to you Liam, Michael, and Daniel Neeson. I am a big fan of yours, Liam, and being an avid movie watcher Natasha, as well, over the years and am overwhelmed how life can change on only a moment’s notice to such a beautiful and talented actress. Please know how lucky you were, Liam, to have found your soul mate in this very complex world. I know she’s around your family now and sending her love and warmth to all of you. Just know that there are many of us out here sending you quiet thoughts and love to your family. Sincerely hope you choose to stay in New York. We love you here!

I just want to extend by sympathy to Natasha’s family. I can’t explain why her death has affected me so deeply. Perhaps because of the way it happened. It seems like such a waste. May you all know there are many people praying for you in your time of sadness.

There is no way to say how much she will be missed. I will pray for all of the folks that she loved as well as all of the folks that loved her as well. This is truly a tragedy. But everyone must stay strong as her sons have a whole life ahead of them. Death is hard on all of us. I feel as though she would want everyone to celebrate the life she had hear on earth. Please try to be strong and this too will pass.

Cherish her life and don’t forget to tell her stories and she will never be gone. Don’t forget to nuture her family, her husband and her children as they will need her memories in their years ahead. It is true… you never know when a light will be dimmed, therefore, you must always allow that light to shine at its brightest which it did. God Bless you all!

What can I say that will ease your pain? Liam, I first saw you in “A Woman of Substance” back in the 1980s when you played Blackie, and I knew you would be very special to so many people. Your wife was a beautiful, elegant, kind, talented woman; her life and love will live on in you, her sons, her mother, sister; and in her work. A loss like her is so hard to understand, and even harder to bear, I know. I heard this quote once and maybe it can help…”In this world that we know now, life is here…and gone. But, somewhere, in the afterglow, love lives on and on.” My thoughts and prayers are with you; may the love and strength of your family and friends give you the strength you need to make it through this time.
Ms. Redgrave…I have admired you since I was a little girl and saw you in “Camelot”. How beautiful you were! And still are…and Natasha was the spitting image of you. So beautiful and I am so sorry for your loss. I hope in some small way my words can help; please know I have the utmost admiration for you and you are in my prayers.
Joely, Natasha’s sons, and the rest of the family…I am so sorry for the lost of your sister, mother, and family member. She was a beautiful, warm, talented and kind soul, and will always love you. She will always be as close as your heart, and all you have to do is think of her to have her with you. God bless all of you. I am so sorry.
Warmest regards, Sarah Steele Lopez

Liam, Family and friends: My heart, thoughts and prayers go out to you all! She is one special person, one of a kind, her grace, poise and beauty lit up the world and it just won’t be the same without her here. May you all find comfort and strength from each other, she will always be with you until you see her again. Yes I too believe it really effects the children the most, and within them is a part of her. She left here so young and life is so fragile. May the Lord comfort you all for your loss, I will pray that you find peace within your broken hearts. ((((Natasha RIP sweetie))) (((((Liam, Michael, Joely, Daniel, Vanessa, Lynn))))) Your Loving fan! oxox oxox oxox oxox oxox oxox oxox Sharilyn Ferguson :*(

Dear Lamim and family,
Im so sorry that you lost you best friend and mother someone posted this and i wated to shere this with you and your boys

TOMORROW IS NOT PROMISED

Sometimes people come into your life
and you know right away that they were meant to be there,
they serve some sort of purpose,
teach you a lesson
or help figure out who you are
and who you want to become.

You never know who these people may be:
your neighbor, child, long lost friend, lover, or even a complete
stranger
who, when you lock eyes with them,
you know at that very moment that they will affect your life
in some profound way.
And sometimes things happen to you
and at the time they seem painful and unfair,
but in reflection you realize
that without overcoming those obstacles
you would have never realized
your potential strength, will power, or heart.

Everything happens for a reason.
Nothing happens by chance
or by means of good or bad luck.
Illness, injury, love, lost moments of true greatness and sheer
stupidity
all occur to test the limits of your soul.

Without these small tests,
whether they be events, illnesses or relationships,
life would be like a smoothly paved straight flat road to nowhere,
safe and comfortable,
but dull and utterly pointless.
The people you meet who affect your life
and the successes and downfalls you experience
create who you are,
and even the bad experiences can be learned from,
In fact, they are probably the poignant and important ones.

If someone hurts you, betrays you or breaks your heart,
forgive them,
for they have helped you learn about trust
and the importance of being cautious to
whom you open your heart…

If someone loves you,
love them back unconditionally,
not only because they love you,
but because they are teaching you to love
and opening your heart and eyes to things
you would have never seen or felt without them.

Make every day count.
Appreciate every moment
and take from it everything that you possibly can,
for you may never be able to experience it again…
Talk to people you have never talked to before,
and actually listen,
let yourself fall in love,
break free and set your sights high…
up because you have every right too.
Tell yourself you are a great individual and believe in yourself…
for if you don’t believe in yourself,
no one else will believe in you either.
Create your own life
and then go out and live in it!
“Live Each Day As If It Were Your Last…

Tomorrow is Not Promised”
