Excellent Dr.Gabe
It was great how you gave the youth a voice to discuss and explain how they feel about dating violence . I also appreciate you informing them of having a compeating behavior, they dont have to do what they have seen, learning something NEW! Not passing bad behavior from generation to generation.
Great Job Dr.Gabe

Hey Dr. Gabe!
You are right on point. We need more black men like you to give guidance and support to our young people (especially young men)who are so desperately in need of someone of your caliber. It’s quite obvious they’re not getting it from home. Keep up the good work!

Dr. Gabe
I remember when, you came and spoke at my church, you did a Fathers Day Sermon, I thought you where informative and thought provoking, but to see what you are doing with our youth, you our phenomenal. I have a 17 year old son , we have spoken about Chris and Rihanna, I have informed my son to treat every women in his life ,the same way he treat me, his mom, and that is with much love and respect and to treasure her as a precious jewel.
Keep up the great job!
God Bless

WONDERFUL DISCUSSION DR. GABE…

As a minister of youth in South Los Angeles, I can appreciate your approach to dealing with the issue. By not ‘demonizing’ C. Brown or ‘victimizing’ Rihanna, you allowed the youth to think, process and channel unhealthy thoughts and behavior concerning anger management and conflict resolution. Our prayers and action plans should be focused on making sure ‘all’ parties (public and private)seek professional and spiritual support.

Keep up the ‘great’ work!
Peace.

Dr. Gabe,
Do you think the will power of people in More…the inner city has been effected? The reason I ask this is that a few people that I know feel like they were never meant to leave south central because they have nothing going for themselves but drug dealing and state & county support. They are always quick to put the blame on someone else for their handicaps just because they dont want to make a firm enough commitment to do something about thier situations. This was the question I’d been wanting to ask you for a while, Dr. Gabe, but, I didn’t know when you were coming back on TV. Then here I am surfing the net at dang near 2am and there you are! But, man, after seeing these kids and the way you were talking to them and them to YOU!! I’m like Ah naw, South Central’s got some hope!!!
I know exactly where that school is. Thanks for bringing mad RESPECT TO THE HOOD—I mean Neighborhood, Dr. G!!

Claudia, you are right girl, many young women older women , whatever, have low self-esteem and the go back because they feel like if a man hit you he loves you…..Sad!

Dr. Gabe (Mm, Mm!!!)

With domestic violence rap/hip music, O.J. trial, and overall crime in some black/African American communities, the majority of Caucasians probably think that’s what we’re all about!! I like to think Dr. Gabe could help our Black men out in the image department! What cha’ say Dr. Gabe? YES WE CAN!! I hope so. love to see our brothers with our kids!!!

Thank you very Much

We as women shouldn’t put up with domestic violence. If it happened to us once then let the person go and dont go back. respect yourself thats where it starts and with the babies, so I’m glad to see this young man going to the schools to educate our babies!!Rhianna, Don’t lower yourself to another beating. Young man, Dr. Gabve, I don’t know who you are, but, I like what you’re doing…..Don’t stop.

Dr. Gabe

Why would she go back to Chris Brown when she has the potential to succeed by herself? (Welcome Back! Wondered where U were)

Hey Dr. Gabe

I’m glad somebody is talking to our kids! SHO YOU RIGHT!!I think anger is displayed in from what we have learned from our parents. But how we deal with it later in life is up to us!

thanks!

I’m very impressed with the way you explained why a man or a woman physically hurts the one they say they love!! You seem to know your work very well. Your hitting below the belt with truth. And that HURTS.

GREAT segment. I think it is SO SO SO important to have this kind of dialogue with our media bombarded youth.
