Dr. Gabe

I just saw the show and the piece on Rihanna and Chris. Even though I am no longer in the relationship, I am still upset and bitter because mine was abusive. What can be done to fix this problem?

Signed,
Very Emotional

Hey Dr. Gabe,

Can the guy be the victim in domestic abuse problems?

Hey Dr. is it absolutely necessary for an individual to receive counseling after a traumatic experience in order to maintain psychological stability.

Kudos Dr. Gabe for exploring this issue of DV with our kids. Did you guys catch the Oprah Show. She asked the kids, too. They are after all our future, you know.

Hi Dr. Gabe,

I think no matter what you have been through within your life span, violence is not the answer.

I am making a comment of Chris/Rihanna based on my experince as a abused child and became angry and I solved my anger by pysical attact.

Yu know Ruth you’re right, women shouldn’t put up with domestic violence or abuse of any kind from a man, but it seems like in many black families women are running the household. Maybe the dr. Gabe can answer if this negatively affects the way little black and white/Hispanic, whoever boys view black women and women in general in our culture, Just look at the whole degradation of women in some of these music videos!! What’s that about?!

Dr. Gabe,

Does the race of Chris Brown and Rihanna play a key role in their domestic issues?

Hi Dr. Gabe

The media is focusing on the entertainment value this story presents, what needs to be made more availiable in the media is more depth in the issue of domestic violence.

I think that a persons responce to abuse is based on culture. Some societies except spousal abuse as normal.

Dr. Gabe,

What are the chances of this incident or incidents similar to this reoccuring?

I have a comment on the Chris and Rihanna situation…

I think they need to leave each other alone because they are too young to be going through things like this.

Dr. Gabe,

Seeing domestic violence at a young age, does that mean your more likely to do the same when you grow up?

Thanks,
Jake P.

Dr. Gabe,
I feel you have done a surpurb job with your most recent Life Changer segment. You could see that you really captivated the minds of those young people. More importantly, you empowered them to think and rationalize for themselves.
