For those living in North East Florida The BioDezyne Center in Jacksonville, FL does Bioidentical Hormones. You can reach them @ 904-645-8778. I know cost is always a conern and they are affordable.

This story is ridiculous. Bio-identical hormones are still hormones and the female human body was not meant to have a steady flow of estrogen and progesterone forever. Estrogen for too many years gives women breast cancer.

You can easily find a doctor that will draw blood and check you for all the male and female hormones. My lab costs were $116.00. My compound cost $62.99 a month. Call around, it is very easy, don’t take no for an answer. Everyone is pinched by the economy, there are many many doctors out there willing to help you. Look in yellow pages or online for a compounding pharmacy. I live in a small town and there are three here.

I am 43 years old; I started my menustral cycle at 18; it abruptly ended when I came off the birth control pill at the age of 35. The pill kept me from
hitting menopause, so who knows how early I actually went thru it. No peri-menopause - just zip - gone. I now have peach fuzz all over my face (at least it is blonde), but still.
What can biodentical hormones do for me?
Thanks for a response. Do I go to my ob/gyn?

For starters you all need to talk to your Gynocologist or call around to see if they work with compound pharmacies.
This isn’t medication that you buy at the store. It has to be made “Just for You”. My question to the Doc is, what do I do when my Ob/Gyn says My hormones are not out of whack yet and I should go on birthcontrol pills to even out my menstral cycle. Is there REALLY NO reason to start Bio’s YET?? I’m almost 42 years old? Thank you, Julia

Hi the initial cost with 2 doctor visits and lab work cost me around $600 total not thousands like stated from a previous post. I pay approx $60 a month on my bioidentical hormones. I suggest to find a “Compound Pharmacist” in your area and call them for suggestions in finding a doctor that works with these. Thanks

I have been reading about this, I am interested in it but it is difficult to find a Doctor that will consult, monitor and prescribe the appropriate hormones based on your lab works without it costing a fortunate. Most of the Doctors that I have come accross don’t take insurance of the reality is my insurance Blue Cross won’t cover this. It appears to be accessible to only those that are willing to dish out $$$$$$$ I don’t mind paying but some of the prices I have been quoted range from $500.00 to thousands.

Bioidentical hormones, just like any other hormone therapy, can cause increased risk of CANCER, HEART ATTACKS, STROKES and other health conditions in women. Just because bioidentical hormones are made from plants does not mean they are safe!

I noticed a lot of people wanting to know where to purchase this Bioidentical Hormone, I would like to know that myself. You really shouldn’t run a story like this without a website or link go to. Please email us or put up where to purchase the product. Thanks

My gyno put me on the birth control pill at age 45 for the first time in my life to help with my menstrual cycle that was becoming erratic (bleeding or spotting most of the month). Ive been on the pill two yrs now. Should I ask my gyno to go on bioidentical hormones instead?
