Wrigley's Gum Suspends Chris Brown Commercials

0209chris.jpg

Due to Sunday's felony charges against R&B artist Chris Brown, Wrigley's has told "Extra" that they plan to "suspend" the gum commercials featuring the singer. Chew on that.

Wrigley released the following statement to "Extra" regarding Brown: "Wrigley is concerned by the serious allegations made against Chris Brown. We believe Mr. Brown should be afforded the same due process as any citizen. However, we have made the decision to suspend the current advertising featuring Brown and any related marketing communications until the matter is resolved."

Chris originally penned his smash hit "Forever" for a Wrigley's Doublemint commercial. The song, later lengthened by Brown, went on to top the Billboard charts.

Fluck Wrigleys and Fluck Rhianna! Bad boy Chris and U need to be punished for your doings, but getting fired on top of your sentence is a cop out Wrigleys!(yes, I’m ticked that the media is trying to ruin a hardworking YOUNG man and the bimbo walks away as if she had nothing to do with the flare of tension. We are all (men/women) when we are provoked! Again it wasn’t right for him to lay his hand on her, but he will pay for what he did…The media, Rhianna and Wrigleys shouldn’t jointly try to ruin his career; he will lose support from friends and fans for his behavior anyways.

Chris Brown is screwed. There is no excuse for beating Rhianna like that. I don’t think he’s that sincere or he would go see a real therapist vs his minister. A minister isn’t trained to deal with his issues. Coward! Chris can stop hiding behind the chruch it won’t work. I will never forget how he beat up Rhianna!.

Ok, first and foremost get off Chris Brown. No, I am not condoning any wrong doing that he or she has done. But my question is, “Why does it have to be all Chris? What the hell did Rhianna do? Know all the facts before you judge.

Law enforcement sources have now gotten specific with us… police took pictures of Rihanna’s injuries and they are “horrific.”

As we reported, the photos show major contusions on both sides of the singer’s face — there is serious swelling and bruising. Her lip is split and her nose bloody. We have now confirmed there are bite marks on one of her arms and on several fingers.

And we now know this… Rihanna claims Brown struck her with his fists and that’s what did the damage. There was no object used in the alleged attack.

Rihanna refused treatment at the scene, but before she left cops took photos. We’re told the photos alone are “devastating proof of abuse.”

And we’ve learned it was not Rihanna who called 911. Someone in the area heard her screams and called 911

Eight arrested in Michael Phelps case

Eight arrested in Michael Phelps case

COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - New details have emerged about a party where Olympic champion Michael Phelps was spotted.

On Feb. 2, a British tabloid published a picture of the 14-time Olympic gold medalist using a water pipe to smoke marijuana. The picture was taken at a party in Columbia back in November when Phelps was here for a visit.

The Richland County Sheriff’s Department has been taking a lot of heat from people in this country and all over the world.

They want to know why Sheriff Leon Lott is going after Michael Phelps.

Many are saying the sheriff should concentrate on more serious crimes, or at the very least, not focus solely on the Olympic champion when there were others at the party who were also breaking the law.

Now it appears the case has expanded beyond Phelps’ activities.

The party took place in November at a house on Blossom Street near Five Points.

It was at that house where someone snapped the photo of Phelps taking a hit on a marijuana pipe called a bong.

Lott says the picture indicated a law was being broken in his jurisdiction. He said he couldn’t ignore the violation just because Phelps is rich and famous.

We’ve now learned that since investigators began trying to build a case, they’ve made eight arrests: seven for drug possession and one for distribution. These are arrests that resulted as the sheriff’s department served search warrants.

We’ve also learned that the department has located and confiscated that bong.

Sources say the owner of the bong was trying to sell it on eBay for as much as $100,000.

The owner, who wasn’t even at the party, is one of the eight now charged.

Phelps is not one of those charged at this point, but the sheriff’s department has strong evidence that matches the photo to the house on Blossom Street.

That house is in the city, but the Columbia Police Department decided not to initiate or take an active role in the investigation.

Governor Mark Sanford is also weighing in on the sheriff’s actions.

On the FOX News Channel Sunday night, Geraldo Rivera asked Sanford whether Phelps should be prosecuted.

“I don’t see what it gets at this point,” said Sanford.

His spokesman told us Monday night Sanford is letting that quote stand

What everyone is failing to realize is that he assulted her. Point blank period. Regardless who ‘started’ it noone knows because noone is ACTUALLY there with them. Everyone loves to hold these celebrities on a pedestal. But they’re regular people. Just got money n fame. But they hurt they cry they get angry. They’re human! U gota let got of this false image they’re and the media is tryna feed u. None of u people really know these people. I’m sure each one of u know someone that’s getting beat. And it stems from previous situations n expierences but you have to be the one that changes it otherwise your willing becoming a product of ur enviornment. And that’s sad. Everyone wants change and things 2 get better but constantly use excuses. There should be no excuse. You’re supposed 2 know what’s morally right and if you don’t then you have no morals. Grow up! And live ur life don’t let other people dictate what and how u should be. Even celebrities. Now with that said. The reason there’s so much negative light on chris brown is cuz he’s being charged for assult with a deadly weapon because he knows karate. Now I’m sure many of u are uneducated and don’t know that proffesional boxers, ufc fighters and martial arts fighters have 2 register themselves because they are trained to fight with the intent to win and to destroy they’re opponent. Regardless if rihanna provoked something, he shouldn’t have taken it to the extent of hittin her. And what makes matters worse is he was quoted sayin numerous times that his mother was an abuse victim and he would never hurt a woman how his mother got hurt. Simply unexplainable. He should pay the consequences for his action. Celebrities always get let off the hook. And like I said earlier they’re no different than us. They just get paid ridiculous amounts of money to do the same ish as us. But get away with it. Take responsiblity for your actions .. Everyone. And stop looking for excuses

As the facts unfold, it appears that Chris Brown had difficulty controlling his anger, and not only lost a gum endorsement, but the respect of many fans, including this one!!!!
