VOTE: 'Little Miss Perfect' -- Too Much, Too Soon?

0218perfect.jpg

"Little Miss Perfect" follows the lives of little girls trying to make it big in the pageant world -- and the moms who push their daughters to win the coveted crowns.

Pageant director Michael Galanes defends the WE show against critics who blast pageants for focusing on all the wrong things, telling "Extra" that the little girls love performing onstage. "Watch the show," insists Michael. "It's a real, unbiased documentary on the shows, the relationship with mom, their involvement with the pageants and life after."

Tell "Extra" -- Are pageants for little girls too much, too soon?

I think these women are trying to live through their daugthers its very sad.
My stepdaugter was in season 2 MAGGIE and me and her dad totally disagreed with her mother KRISTI about putting her in pageants. But she didn’t care i guess these moms want and need their 15 mins of fame.Did anyone ever think why do they tell where these little girls live? and all about their families easy target for pervs if u ask me.what it really boils down to is that we are really wasting our time talking about this. Because there will always be those shity moms who only care about themselves.

Has anybody on here ever been in the pageant circuit? I have . From 3-16 I was in them , I did not win as many as I lost , but I loved It.My girls are 2 and 3 and I can not wait to start them. The Girls that Usually are in these Pageants are at the top of their grades in School , That is why they have so much confidence . You Shouldn’t Bash something unless you’ve tried it.

Michael Galanes represents the very worst that America has to offer

why is it that the majority of these mothers are either cows, beasts or cow/beasts?

I have to agree with the majority here.I live in Mississippi, and these pageants are very popular.I think it is disgusting, and my goodness, the blonde woman judges makeup is absolutely terrible. These obese mothers are so ridiculous.Michael, please quit doing your own makeup as well, and why don’t you take some of that money you are making and get voice lessons,or hire someone who can actually sing.lol

Too funny! I love the posts which begin by criticising pageants for teaching shallow values about beauty over brains on the one hand and then continue with nasty comments about how fat and ugly the mothers are on the other. Many of these authors claim to value intellectual ability as a superior grace and yet they can’t seem to understand something as simple as the differences between the words: “there”, “their”. and “they’re”. Can we assume that these are some of the victims of pageants now complaining that they wasted their childhoods competing for crowns instead of studying philosophy and learning to write correctly?

Michael Galanes said, “Come out and try to really sell it!” What EXACTLY are these LITTLE children SELLING??? This program is producing Little Miss FUTURE rape victims and porn stars.

Pageants are not a bad things. Thay are always different and yes alot of the kids do choose to do pageants and yes you can win alot of money for college and so on thru pageants. Some kids do not use false items and go natural and some do do false things but I believe pageants are not bad and it teaches the child self confidence and alot more,

Oh, Lord there is so much I want to say to this forum and the want to be women that enter their daughters in this slaughterhouse line up……..

First off, do not live your lives through your children-it simply makes you look extremely in need of a good psychiatrist and a good dietician.

Second, I have watched this show from the beginning (not proud of my viewing choice, but, at the hour(s) it is broadcast-this was my only choice, eww and more eww) I was disgusted and am still throwing up.

Third, are you all sure that pie in the sky is not Michael Galanes? Bet you that “pie” is someone with a vested interest.

Fourth, what in the name of God are these women doing with the family money? Spending it one crystal encrusted dress/gown that their children will only be able to wear once or twice? Seems to be a total waste of money. Why not invest this money into their college fund? After all, beauty fades and dumb is forever….(thanks Judge Judy for that phrase and observation.)
I have seen so many women trying to dress up their daughters and themselves only to look like overweight water buffaloes that need to graze on someone’s land-and, they need to clean up their trailer trash homes immediately.
Swine mothers wake up and smell the slop brewing, you are disgusting pieces of doo doo and really need a good depression medication and a real life immediately.
Like it or lump it, this is my opinion.

the little miss perfect pageant is comprised primarily of obese southern cracker mothers living vicariously thru their daughters, very tragic. what a perverse way to try to build self esteem in their daughters, focusing on outer, false beauty. True beauty is God given, and starts from within. Most of these mothers should work on their own self image, starting with dieting.

I could not believe what I was seeing and hearing. One Mother said, “the people who say that the pageant circuit is bad is just jealous becuase they have an ugly child”. Another Mother said, “to be successful and make a lot of money you need to be pretty”. What are they teaching these children? That’s what that are….children! There were children with fake teeth, hair extensions, wigs, and make up, etc. Is that what makes a child pretty?

It is funny how a fat gross mother has to live her probably screwed childhood of ridicule and embarrasnment through her daughter.

To “Pagent girl”

If you are so involved with “pagent” girls, shouldn’t you at least be able to spell pageant???

Also, judging by your grammer, I would say beauty is definitely more important to you than education.

Keep it up stupid!! Keep teaching the next generation of girls that it’s all about beauty. That way they can land a hot, rich hillbilly hunk of a husband after they barely scrape through high school on their “beauty”.

Idiots…
