'Twilight' Threequel Release Date Confirmed

"New Moon" hasn't started filming, but Summit Entertainment has already greenlit a third installment of the "Twilight" saga.

Summit confirms "Eclipse" is coming June 30, 2010. Newbie megastars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart captivated audiences in "Twilight" -- and their characters will be back in the third film.

The studio hinted at the plot for the upcoming vampire flick, "As Seattle is ravaged by a string of mysterious killings and a malicious vampire continues her quest for revenge, Bella once again finds herself surrounded by danger." Bella is forced to choose between Edward and Jacob in the film based on Stephenie Meyer's novel by the same name.

As of February 8, "Twilight" has grossed over $187 million domestically. The sequel "New Moon" is scheduled to begin filming next month. "New Moon" flies into theaters November 20, 2009.

Great news! Even tho i dont really like eclipse that much because bella & jacob kissed like 2 or 3 times, gosh i hated that part!! but the rest were great.

I read all of the books in a week and reread twilight & breaking dawn because those are my fav. books. But i cant wait for new moon to come out and i hope edward will be in more than the book.

YAY! This is amazing! i m so happy that new moon is coming to soon. i dont have to wait for too long till i can see the amazing movie. and plus twilight is coming to DVD on march 21.Yaaaaaaaaaaaaay

Can’t wait for New Moon. Agree w/ above to please not rush these movies & keep them tru to Meyer’s novels. Pattinson is presenting an Oscar to someone Sun. night at the Academy Awards. Yeah!

This is ridiculous. They better do right by these movies because fans will be extremely P.O. at the fact that they just rushed through production and the movies didnt stand up to par. Seriously, 7 months after? I dont even think the best people in Hollywood could pull that off. But all we can do is hope for the best and pray to god that they stand by the books.
