This woman essentially had these babies in order to SELL them (to the media in some way). I wouldn’t give her a dime. For those who are thinking of the babies, there are plenty of babies who really need help and for more compelling reasons. Do the world a favor and don’t reinforce the idea that having a bushel basket full of kids gets you millions of dollars. Every time someone does this and gets donations, it gives someone else the idea to try it. I do not think she’s crazy or obsessed, I think she’s greedy and manipulative.

If people do give her money, it will just be a temporary solution and she will continue to keep these children. If everyone cuts her off, her parents included, she would be forced to put them up for adoption and deserving families could have them. She has more nerve than any person I have ever seen, and she is more of a danger to society than a lot of criminal.

If I had some extra money, yes…I would send money to her. Not for her sake, but for the children. It’s not like this case happens everyday, and its no fault of the children. They need to be cared for and the need for financial help will be necessary. Not helping her, hurts these children. It’s quite obvuious she didnt think all 8 babies would take, she didnt want to dispose of their lives, so she left it up to God. I dont approve of the IVF, but whats done is done. Help the children.

I think there is to much focus on this lady that could not have children otherwise and the focus should instead be on this doctor who knew what he was doing. He went to school, he’s supposed to be a expert. and she’s the one that’s on the news. she’s the one that has to live with it for 18 years. She’s obsessed with having children and he knew this.I don’t think she is at fault, he is. If it wasn’t for his greed she wouldn’t have been filled up with a bunch of kids.

This woman and her family should NOT be supported by welfare, Food Stamps, or any other programs. The Doctor who did the procedure should be sued for malpractice. His decision to treat a woman who had six children for infertility is absurd. In addition her mental stability should be examined. Any book offers, made for t.v. stories should be pulled right off the table. I personally would not view, purchase or read anything about this woman, I think it is time for the press to pack up there cameras and laptops and walk away from this story

When she first had these children, her Father was on TV and said “We don’t need any help, I can afford to support them. I have a good job” Haven’t seen or heard from him since, did he just come to his senses and leave? CPS should take these babies and put them up for adoption. At least give them a chance in a life that is tough enough AND instead of insemination she should have a comlete hysterectomy.

What burns me about this whole story is the lies. this woman, who is cleary unable to make rational decisions for herself and others has consistently lied. Lied about the money from the state, money she had but did not offer to support her first bunch, that was raised by her mother. In her mother’s home, and with her mother’s income or lack there of.Yet, she actually believes she can go to school, finish school, and then go to work to pay off her student loans,( which by the way, you use for children, not school)and support these children..at all. This task is physically impossible to deliver even slightest care for these children, which to a percentage, because of her selfish nature are at high risk at being disabled. she is banking on others, again to pick up the tab and raise this new brood the same as the last, (that is the “faith” angle she’s playing to keep the church involved) One suggestion in the attempt to be fair to these children would be to adopt them out to other families?families that could properly care for a child. Finally, it is CLEAR as the day is bright that she had work done to her lips/face, as if that little unconsious smile/smirk did’nt give that one away. That little smile/smirk and figit at the same time, In my opinion, was clear at revealing motivation behind this entire selfish, irresponsible act..

You’ve got it all wrong. The doctor who implanted her should foot the bill for raising 8 more children, not the taxpayers. He’s the bigger idiot for not recognizing her obvious mental problem. Send him the bills for the next 18 years.

I won’t be sending money. I would think after having 6 children she must be searching for her 15 minutes of fame having another 8 children. I think she’s trying to get her own TV series. I think Joh & Kate Plus 8 and the Duggers are enough TV program regarding large families. At least they doen’t expect other people to support their families. If you can’t afford them, don’t have them. What was this woman thinking?

I WILL NEVER EVER send money (voluntary that is) to this women, because she is to damn lazy too get herself a JOB!!!!!!!!!
I really hate the fact that she is the main focus of the media. True these babies are a miracle, but she is getting what she really wants, however she will never admit to it(fame, fortune and everthing in between).
It just makes me angry that she will be getting off scot-free while the other thousand minimum wage working class people in this country, like myself, whom work their asses off day after day trying to keep up with the price of living and cannot recieve goverment help or any other donations when they desperately need help!
NO ONE and I repeat NO ONE who makes a decision not work who are capiable of working should have everything and anything handed to them for free!!!!!!!!

Hi - while I am absolutely dumbfounded with this mother’s desire to have so many children all at one time, I’m writing regarding your question of whether to support her or not. My thoughts run to the needs of those babies. They didn’t ask for what they have been delivered into, and giving those babies the best support, care and love in life is what should prevail. I am concerned about setting a precedent here, but I cannot stray from the innocents needs here. Those babies deserve the best care possible.

I understand her Doctor maybe getting his own T.V. show. Now, he can afford to pay for the 8 babies that he helped bring into the world. The mother and Doctor should be responsible for their actions and be accountable for the financial welfare of this 8 children and not assume that society is going to take care of the problem. The 8 children should be given up for adoption to parents who can afford to properly take care of them.

The Doc. should loose his license!! No one needs to send her any money. All the kids need to be taken away from her now!!

Has any one though how someone who hurt there back so bad, could hold these six (6) pregancies one with eight babies. I feel this woman has lied from the beginning. Maybe her doctor is the father who would inseminate 6 embryos in a woman who already has six small children home?

No I would not donate money to the octo-mom. I think those close to her should be encouraging her to consider putting all 8 newborns up for adoption.

The Dr and this poor excuse of a mother should both be charged with child abuse and neglect. She needs to be held responsible for her own. What is wromg with her parents enabling her.I would like to have had more children but
couldn’t afford them and I sure can’t afford to raise HERS.
