Kate Winslet is absolutely always stunning, and she is the true definition of ” class”. Hugh Jackman was an awesome host and he really showed off all his talents well. Sean Penn, “Bravo”!!! I have a son that is gay and I was so proud that you took your moment and stood on stage and spoke up for everyone’s civil rights and for them to be accepted no matter who they are!
For the people that were picketing with signs as he drove up outside as he stated, find something better to do than butt into other peoples lives and what they are doing.
Bet the people that were picketing are the nosey neighbors that know everyones business in the neighborhood. Glad I do not live close to them!

There was so much more talent than penn; he guarantees the cliche’d political commentary, tho, and that’s good TV. SO glad I don’t watch those things

I was thrilled that Sean Penn won the Oscar. He is a true actor and has given a superb performance in every film he has ever starred in! Bravo!!!

Hugh Jackman stole the entire show. He was more entertaining then the Oscars. Thank you Hugh.

Sean Penn strikes again. Can’t he just accept an award, say thank you, and graciously remove himself from the stage? OF COURSE, gay rights should be as natural and valid as anyone else’s, and I know he went on about it because of his role, but in doing so, he makes the important seem redundant - WE GET IT. OK. MOVE ON. Not to mention his obsequiousness w/ the ‘elegant man’ for president statement, that he was compelled to stick in apropos of nothing. Right, cause ELEGANCE is a reasonable qualification for president. THAT’S why we vote for someone, right? If it wasn’t so typical and obnoxious a statement coming out of one of those shows, it’d be really funny. Let’s see how elegance saves us. That might NOT be so funny.
