Reports: Rihanna Victim in Alleged Brown Attack

0209brown.jpg

"Extra" has uncovered more information about Chris Brown's arrest on battery charges yesterday.

The R&B singer posted $50K bail and was released from custody yesterday at approximately 6:30 PM -- after his SUV was chased through L.A. streets. Brown, who was booked on charges of making felony criminal threats, faces up to 9 years in prison.

New reports today confirm that Brown's superstar girlfriend, Rihanna, was the victim of the alleged attack -- and suffered bruises, scratches and even a bite mark (some reports have said she has a broken jaw), but her people are not commenting except to say "she is well."

This morning, Rihanna's father told Splash News that his daughter told him she was in a car wreck. "She told him the reason she was pulling out of the Grammys was because of a shoulder injury," Sam from Splash News dishes to "Extra."

On Friday, the couple looked cozy at Timbaland's Pre-Grammy party where Rihanna performed for the star-studded crowd. The singing duo also appeared at Clive Davis' Pre-Grammy party on Saturday.

Rihanna and Chris inexplicably left the bash at 12:20 AM in the middle of P. Diddy's performance -- and were snapped in Brown's rented Lamborghini, which "Extra" has learned rents for $2K a day. Ten minutes later, LAPD received a 911 call about a domestic violence incident in Hancock Park.

Both Rihanna and Brown canceled their Grammy performances on Sunday afternoon -- giving Justin Timberlake and Al Green the opportunity for an impromptu Grammy performance. News of the alleged incident stunned attendees, including actor Blair Underwood, who said, "That's unfortunate -- that's very unfortunate."

Now, "Extra" has uncovered evidence of abuse in Brown's past -- with his stepfather allegedly abusing his mother. "In the cover story for Giant magazine, Chris Brown talks about telling his mom that because his stepfather was so abusive to her that one day he would go to his stepfather's job and beat him with a baseball bat," Emil Wilbekin of Giant magazine dishes to "Extra."

The incident is under investigation, with Chris possibly facing additional charges. He is due in court March 5.

I honestly think that its not totally fair for guys you know. I’m a girl and I have lots of girlfriends who share their stories of hitting and abusing their bfs too. Guys are just much stronger. laws are laws.. but this stuff happens everyday, girls these days have blabbery lips that provoke violence to another level.

i’m not saying that domestic violence is okay in an everyday life or ever, but it happens and thats the truth to it.

Girls n guys do it to each other these days.. guys are stronger, so they get a worse sentencing. period.

Well,
Cris Brown has a history of being violent and very rude at times to insiders in the recording industry. Rihanna needs to come clean with what happened. I sure hope that this allegation of Chris biteing Rihanna didn’t happen or of him breaking her jaw. This takes alot of force to break jaw on someone. BUT, if he did, then he needs to be put under the jail and dropped from his recording label. I don’t care if Chris was a black man or a white man. He’s a man and NO man should NOT put his hand on a woman PERIOD!

If Rihanna ran her mouth to cause Chris to become irrational, then Chris should be mature enough to just walk away and not strike no one. Also BTW Chris is not 19 yrs old. The media reported that he is 19. Chris is over 21yrs of age. They want to keep him a baby looking innocent, but Chris has an inner rage from past abusive relationships that he witnessed his mother endure. So what are you suppose to think what may happen when he had grown up? Chris needs counseling as well as serve jail time and provide a public apology to the music industry, to the fans and to Rihanna and to her family.

all i can say is that you can tell chris brown has a temper just from looking at him and that rihanna has a mouth piece on her. if there was a dispute then it takes two.

but its not my life, chris did what he had to do… “whip that trick”!

I’m kind of glad Wrigley’s dropped him, especially if he did what they’re claiming he did. Although I love getting the latest news at ExtraTV, I found a couple other places online where they’re dishing more dirt. One of them is on a radio website in Chicago: wlit.com/pages/maryam.html Check it out. I can’t wait to find out if this really is the truth.

LOCK EM UP- IT DON’T MATTER IF RHIANNA DESERVED IT OR NOT. HE SHOULD HAD NEVER HIT HER OR PUT HIS HANDS ON ANYONE MUCH LESS A FEMALE. HIS PAST WITH ABUSE IS IRRELEVANT AS AN INDIVIDUAL YOU CHOOSE YOUR PATH IN LIFE REGARDLESS OF YOUR CHILD HOOD OUTBRINGING. HE CHOOSED TO HIT HER NOT ONCE BUT MANY TIMES AND AS FOR RHIANNA MA’ YOU DESERVE BETTER.

I HOPE YOU RECOVER SOON.

Is it just me…or does the media cover a lot more DV when it involves Black couples…in particular - black men?
Just a thought - curious what other people think.

physical abuse and emotional abuse are no different. you just cant see the scars from the emotional abuse that women put men through. and a man cant tell his pains to no one or it is thought of as weak. so sometimes they hold things in until it makes them expode.not making excuses for chris brown. i have hit women and been hit by them and been almost forced into it like i was being tested. thats the past.not me anymore. if CB get to that point its time to walk away and calm down or get a sidekick. dont know the situation.

CHELRY: How can you possibly say that someone would deserve to be abused?? It’s a rumor that Rihanna cheated on Chris, but it’s a FACT that he abused her. And, even if she has cheated, NOTHING merits abuse. A man should never lay a finger on a woman, no exceptions.

This is so sickening, no man has a right to hit a woman, it means your a coward and punk. if it is true, they should throw the full brunt of the law at him. I am not a fan of rihanna or CB, but as man I believe women are to be respected. Would you hit your mother? would you like to see your sister get beatup by her man, hellllllll noooooo. if he did it i say jail his abusive punk a$#&%s.

I think it’s sad & sickening that fans will come on here & defend a man who has “allegedly” broken a womans jaw & threatens to beat someone to death with a baseball bat.

I was in a very hard situation when young to the point I saw domestic violence with blood from my own mothers head all over the kitchen & suffered abuse myself, this has never once made me want to hurt a woman, in fact it’s the total opposite & if Chris has done this & people start using that as an excuse for him, this is also very very sickening.

However, Chris has also not been proven to be guilty of this either, so it’s wrong to start hurling abuse too, though please, I couldn’t care less how much you like his music, if Chris has done this, he’s just as wrong as it would be if anyone else had done it & you’d be slating them to the ground, Chris is NO exception & if he IS guilty, he is a NASTY person & should be charged & penolised for this, just like anyone else should be.

Again, only if he HAS done this, lets not make any judgement just yet, however handing yourself in is quite suspect.

It’s a very unfortunate situation for them both. I watched the awards last eve. & knew something was up when they both cancelled. I’m a survivor of an abusive marriage and the abuse didn’t start until a few months after the marriage. the “Best Behavior Time” had expired. I understand the role of an abused wife/female and unfortunetly it took me nine years to get out of the relationship. If others had known, I probably would have gotten out earlier or wized-up and not be controlled, & gotten out. I Hope she sees things better than I did. Both seek help! Hopeful thoughts to all. kl

Who would have ever known, it seems Chris is so sweet and innocent. I was not aware of his mothers abuse, but that is no excuse, for a chikd especially a boy to have seen his mother get abused should have made him more of a man and less likely to put his hands on a women,or mentally abuse a women. It really makes me look at him differently. As for Rhianna, love is powerfull,it sometimes makes you accept things you normally wouldn’t, but girl if you read this, my best advice for you is to leave now. If you allow this to happen once and stay with him, it only gives him the feeling that he can do it again and you will stay. Please dont drop the charges if you have placed anhy. Yes people can make mistakes, but regardless of the situation, someone can;t do something like this and honelstly think that its ok. I hoe you will make the rite choice, because you deserve so much more than that. Bless you both. Chris you certainly need a wake up call and Rhianna, your so beautifull and successfull, dont ever let anyone make you feel worthless. Stay strong, and do whats rite for you!
