gina, you really believe what you’re saying??? you need to read more medical research articles and not get your information from propaganda. And the bit about 600% + increased potency is b.s., as there has always been potent strains throughout history. The plant, which is natural, has always been manipulated by man for utilization. Hemp is marijuana bred more for its strong fibers [once urged by the US govt to be grown], just like higher potency strains [18-20% THC content] are bred more for their medical potential. Corn is hybridized yet you use corn products. How about soy beans? So that shows some invalid points you present. The forefathers grew pot and said it was to the colonies best interest to grow marijuana as it has so many uses, is easy to take care of, and easy to process. Ford designed the Model T to run on biofuel made from pot. If you wanna go back to ancient times, marijuana has been found in archaeological digs all over the world. Only since the 1900s has marijuana started to be seen as a negative thing and become illegal; mostly due to the high percentage of morphine and herion addicts and to control minority groups. I seriously think you need to read more scientific articles on the topic and expand your mind instead of blindly judging and presenting false data as facts. Many of the anti-pot propaganda used “scientific” studies for their prove, but they used poor experiment design. For example, the study used to conclude pot kills brain cells took monkeys and pumped pot smoke using masks. They didn’t tell you they would pump pure pot smoke for 12-18 hours into the masks. The lack of oxygen alone would cause brain damage. This shows how “scientific” research can be falsely used to misrepresent marijuana. I could go on and on… Nixon ran the most extensive testing ever done on marijuana because he wanted hard proof pot was bad for health and a way to deal with the hippies as most smoked pot, but none of the results showed negative outcomes from pot use. He threw out the results as it contradicted what he wanted the results to be… science at its best… :-/ so sad. Anyways… all of you need to stop listening to what people tell you and read and find facts out for yourself, especially you anti-pot people.
