I am wondering why we haven’t heard anything about her being prosecuted by Welfare as she paid for all of these invitros by herself. If she lied to them about her financial situation the cats out of the bag now. The money used to produce the octuplets should have been used to support the six kids she already had. And how in the hell with her being on welfare is she getting plastic surgery,hair extensions, nails done and now I am hearing she bought a wii.

This woman’s actions are an outrage. I work at DCSS in California. I see sad cases everyday but this is just plain over the top. She would never have qualified for aid with that huge payout from workers comp.gee did we forget to report that income? Disgusting. I am blown away by how many people don’t seem to understand that the money for any kind of aid has to come from somewhere. I think it is time to investigate this woman for welfare fraud and both the doctor and the guy who gave the sperm to her for ALL of these kids should be paying child support. I bet she waited until she had more kids before going to apply for cash grants thru welfare because if she was getting cash aid when she got pregnant with these kids they would have been deemed mfg kids and she would not have received any additional money.sadly there is no restriction like that for food stamps or medical. There are so many people out there that need the help. people like nayda make me sick. All I can say is really?

Why is everybody picking on her? It really is totally her business how she lives her life. So what if she isn’t married, what difference does it make? There are plenty of married people who don’t love their kids and live in dysfunction, she loves her kids. Jon and Kate Plus Eight are getting plenty of money because they are celebrities now, it is just because they are married. Why should celebrities get paid so much money? To me his is outrageous, they have million plus dollar homes. So what if she is getting help? This is America, help her, don’t hurt her. If she were in another country, she would get praised for having so many kids. I hope she makes a ton of money just to spite the people who think that they are so much better than others, even her own mother puts her down, look at the source of her thinking, she wants to make up for the love she never got. Maybe America could better the healthcare system so that more people could access counseling. Remember all God’s children got s—t.

I have to say that I could not agree more with Sherri. After reading many of the articles in this case and all of the comments listed here, I find each and every one of Sherri’s comments to be right on. By the way, I am also a tax accountant and Sherri comes across as a well educated woman who happens to have a very good understanding of where the working California taxpayers’ dollars go. Simply stated, if you pay more into the system for public services and in the course of supporting dependents, you may be entitled to certain deductions on your taxes when claiming those extra expenditures. This scenario is quite the opposite of what the octuplets’ mom has done. In fact, she has not been paying taxes on the workers’ comp benefits or food stamp money or SSI benefits she has been receiving but she has been using the government aid money she has received to pay, by her own admission, approx. $100K for IVF treatments which resulted in 8 more babies that she will not be supporting without continued and additional taxpayer support. While I certainly don’t condone death threats against anyone (and in Sherri’s defense I saw nothing in ANY of her posts that indicated that she wished any harm to come to the octuplets or their mother, and I find it difficult to see how someone whose post appears somewhere below could use any of Sherri’s logical and well-spoken comments to suggest that is why some sickos have made death threats, a little extreme don’t you think?) I do think that people who take advantage of the hardworking people of California should be held accountable if they are found to be exploiting the system. We all have a responsibility to contribute something to society and not to be a burden. In this time of severe economic recession, the evidence truly shows what happens to all of us when a handful people act so irresponsibly and selfishly at the expense of others.

im single, working, w/no children and i agree with sherri. money aside from federal taxes, Social Security being the 2nd most, is not refunded at tax time, house, kid, married or not. only federal taxes (a portion of) are given back. i dnt mind supplementing ppl going through hard times after all its not the kids fault but this lady nadya is dead wrong and should be ashamed of herself. i do plan to write my elected official (i live in CA) and demand that this case be investigated fully and the needs of the children be served, not those of miss sulemans plastic surgey whims. now is not the time, with the economy hurting so badly and WORKING ppl that truly need assistance. this lady does not deserve to have this kids especially when -lets be honest here- its an obvious ploy to mooch. shes a nut case and she is making it hard for ppl who really do need assistance & are not interested in milking an overloaded system but in surviving and providing temporarily for their families. its disgusting and i do understand the death threats altho thats a little bit fanatical for my taste, i certainly see why ppl are livid!
