Mickey Rourke Boxed Into Debt?

Ding! Ding! Is it true that boxer and Oscar nominee Mickey Rourke rang up $70K in therapy bills?!

That rumor has some endurance! The actor admitted to Barbara Walters in her upcoming annual Oscar special that he didn't have the scratch to pay his therapist for 14 years! That's really being up against the ropes!

According to Rourke, his therapist said he wouldn't have agreed to non-payment for anyone else, because he knew Mickey would eventually pay him back.

Sadly, the champ's best friend for the past 18 years, his Chihuahua-Terrier "Loki," passed away yesterday.

Mickey,good luck at the oscars.If only you people really knew Mick, you would not say those things about him.I used to work out with him in the boxing gym in Miami Beach, Florida in the 1990’s (have video also).He really did work hard to get to where he is.I wish him all the best!!!

You must really be a HATER. Not only of animals but people also..of course except for your SUPERIOR SELF. How can you not be empathetic toward anyone that has loved & lost a beloved companion, pet or human? Maybe you need some therapy…As for Mickey Rourke, I bet he could kick your butt..I would love to watch that!!!! I’m glad he’s making a come back. Good for him.

Mickey Rourke is one of the finest actors of our time who deserves this Oscar and his past work was far superior than anything any of the others have done. His worst year is better than some actors best. And for some previous malicious comments posted here you ain’t up for any awards so go back to flippin your burgers and be quiet.

Don’t you have better things to write about Mickey is a gifted, talented, creative person, let he be allowed to do what he is here for. So he had therapy, who hasn’t, a least he knew to get support not like some of our past political leaders. This is finally his time, leave him alone. And sorry Mickey, I know how it is to lose someone you truly love.

Rourke disappeared from the spotlight back when he made the racial comment that blacks were the cause of Rodney King being beat and the cops that were charged for it deserved to get off for doing it. All I can say is I pray those years of therapy worked at making him see just what a scumbag he is. I feel worse for his dog than I feel for him.
