The music industry's finest came out for the Grammy Awards in L.A. -- and singer Jennifer Hudson, 27, stole the spotlight with an early win and a stirring performance.

Hudson took home the Grammy for Best R&B Album for her self-titled debut, and an emotional Jennifer thanked God and her family when she accepted the award. "I don't really know what to say," said a choked-up Hudson. 'Wow, I'm just in awe right now. I would like to thank my family in heaven and those that are here today. I just don't know where to start. Everybody, thank you all."

Later in the show, Jennifer took the stage to sing her hit song "You Pulled Me Through" -- with the help of a choir.

The "Dream Girls" star performed at the Super Bowl on February 1, which marked the singer's first public appearance since three of her family members were murdered in October.

Last night was the most incredible nigh in music, ever. I spent the afternoon reading reviews of my favorite nominees on EverHype (you can add your own reviews by creating a free account at www.everhype.com/?utm_source=bc) and the evening snuggled up with a bottle of wine and popcorn.
