While I was at the Chili Bowl a camera man for the SPEED ch told me that there are plans to make a sequal to the “Days of Thunder” movie . He said he was contacted by a Hollywood Producer to do some freelance work at this years Daytona 500, gathering some stock footage with an IMAX camera . He would not say if it was Jerry Bruckheimer who called. Bruckheimer was one of the producers of the 1st Days of Thunder. Has anyone else heard anything about it ?

I can see the script : “Cole Trickle” now 20 years older and after a short retirement finds himself restless and wanting to win that champoinship that always eluded him . Low and behold the top car owner in NASCAR has his young talented smart a— driver throw his helmet down and walk off on his crew and waiting media following an icident on the track . (are you following this ) Cole gets a call to drive for the afore mentioned car owner and and while the car and team is one of the best on the track some people think he’s just to old to get the job done. (scene 1 act 1,) The Sun rises over the Daytona Speedway it’s the morning of the 2011 Daytona 500……………………………..It’s a Blockbuster waiting to be made

WHAT A POMPOUS, MANIPULATIVE A—!!! THIS RACE HAS BEEN RUN FOR 51YEARS AND SO THIS YEAR, WHEN KEITH URBAN IS SCHEDULED TO PERFORM, THIS JERK JUST HAPPENS TO BE INVITED TP DRIVE THE TRACK. SURE WHEN PIGS FLY. THE TITLE SHOULD BE “TRYING TO STEAL THUNDER”,
