Brown: 'Sorry and Saddened over What Transpired'

Chris Brown has broken his silence about what went down with his girlfriend Rihanna the night before the Grammys -- and while the singer doesn't go into specifics about the alleged incident, Brown apologized for his responsibility in the argument.
"Words cannot begin to express how sorry and saddened I am over what transpired. I am seeking the counseling of my pastor, my mother and other loved ones and I am committed, with God's help, to emerging a better person," Brown said in a written statement.
He added, "Much of what has been speculated or reported on blogs and/or reported in the media is wrong. While I would like to be able to talk about this more, until the legal issues are resolved, this is all I can say except that I have not written any messages or made any posts to Facebook, on blogs or any place else. Those posts or writings under my name are frauds."

Chris Brown’s behavior has a lot to do with the environment that he grew up in. In a prior interview he spoke strongly about violence against women, YET he did it anyway (?) … perhaps because he thinks it’s “ok”? He is an adult so he knew what he was doing. If he wants to be treated like an adult, then he should own up to what he did fully, unconditionally and with sincere remorse. Aside from an apology, the most important thing for him to do is to also admit that he has a problem and should make every effort to deal with ‘that’ problem by seeking professional help … and make a conscious effort NOT to make the same stupid mistake. Yes, I said stupid because he is a public figure and supposedly a role model to kids of his generation.
