Brad Buttons Up Angie vs. Jen
In the curious case of when their relationship began, "Curious Case of Benjamin Button" star Brad Pitt is setting the record straight on rumors that he and Angelina Jolie began dating while he was still married to ex Jennifer Aniston.
Reports of a rift between Jolie and Aniston hit the web after Jen told Vogue magazine that "it was really uncool" of Angie to say that she and Brad fell in love on the set of "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" -- when the "Friends" star and Pitt were supposedly still together.
Page Six reports that Pitt told W magazine, "What people don't understand is that we filmed for a year. We were still filming after Jen and I split up. Even then it doesn't mean that there was some kind of dastardly affair. There wasn't. I'm very proud of the way that it was handled. It was respectful."
The actor also dismisses any reports of tension between himself and the "Marley & Me" actress, despite sensationalized reports in the tabloids. "Listen, man, Jen is a sweetheart. I think she got dragged into that one, and then there's a second round to all that Angie versus Jen. It's so created."
He added about Aniston, "We still check in with each other. She was a big part of my life, and me hers. I don't see how there cannot be [that]. That's life, man. That's life." The issue hits stands Jan. 20. Case closed!

Aniston raked in $27 million in 2007; Jolie, 33 - who just took in $14 million. In terms of female earners, Cameron Diaz claimed the top spot with $50 million, Forbes reports. Keira Knightley pulled in $32 million, beating out Aniston. Academy Award winners Reese Witherspoon and Gwyneth Paltrow each banked $25 million. jen is not riding brads coattails when i comes to making money.
