Interview with Bahama Bay Hotel Owner

The Travolta family was vacationing at the Old Bahama Bay Hotel when Jett Travolta suffered a seizure, apparently fell and hit his head and died.

Bahama Bay Hotel owner Robert Gidel exited Rand Memorial Hospital E.R. on Friday and confirmed to cameras, "It was a seizure... and that was it... It happened this morning about 9:30."

I am a psychologist and maybe you should all recognise the parts of you that wish to associate and identify with a celebrity tragedy. A tragedy that happens every day to other people you will never care about. This video is in poor taste but you watched it. For the record, I did not. Allow these people the respect they dserve to go through their human experience.

Dearest John, Kelly & Ella,

5 months ago we lost our 10 month old niece, like Jett - very suddenly & unexpectly. My heart goes out to all of you as I understand your profound shock & grief.

Please know many people are here to support you and offer their prayers & love. If there was anything I could do to help or ease your pain, I would..I would in a second!!

John, Kelly and Ella…my thoughts & prayers are with you during this most devastating time. It was obvious how much you love Jett as you could hear it in your voices & see it in your eyes when you would talk about him in an interview. He was lucky to have such amazing parents.

May God bless you and give you strength & solace during this awful time.
If you need ANYTHING, please know..even though I am a “Stranger Friend”, I will be there.

With deepest sympathy & sadness for you all,
Jenn

Fine. All you got to watch it but pushed to have it taken down for others. Why did you watch it if it was so bad??

PLEASE remove this video clip. It does not educate and certainly doesn’t entertain. John and Kelly will speak to the public when they feel the time is right. This is THEIR PRIVATE MOMENT

I agree that this video is of no value and would be very upsetting to the Travolta family. Please re-think your decision to post this. How would you feel if it were your family?

I don’t find the video even half as upsetting or vile as the jovial banter going on from one of the paparazzi. Whom ever that was with the mouth should be smacked silly!

I agree that this is in poor taste (posting a video of a family’s son dying on his way to the hospital). These celebrities have to go through enough being captured by photographers, but to have this tragedy video taped has gone too far. This is sensasulizing something so private and disturbing. I, not being a celebrity, would never want something like this videotaped. Let them grieve without other people making money from it. Please rethink about posting this video out of the goodness of your heart….

Please reassess your decision to post this video. It is tasteless and not newsworthy. A child who was loved was lost and for anyone to benefit from this tragedy in any way is vulgar and repugnant. I am not watching it and implore other extra online viewers to stand with enough is enough. A child is dead. Have some decency.
