President Obama: Rock Star!

"Entertainment Weekly" has dubbed Barack Obama President Rock Star -- and declared he's bigger than Brangelina and Beyoncé!

President Obama has been hitting the web to address with the American public -- and his first "Weekly Address" has nearly one million hits on YouTube!

The White House has released intimate photos of Obama and his family during the first 48 hours of his presidency -- including shots of Malia and Sasha playing candid camera with their dad, and Obama and Michelle embracing in a freight elevator between inaugural balls.

Barack Obama's historical swearing-in ceremony was attended by many politicians -- including former president Jimmy Carter, who cleared up rumors he gave the Clinton family the cold shoulder during the ceremony!

"We had already been with the Clintons for about ten or fifteen minutes," Carter explained on the "Today Show." He added, "We had warm greetings, already exchanged kisses before we came into the television view."

Wow, wasn’t Mr. President so very CANDID with the Arabic World,.. not only was he showing “respect”..but also weakness, fright, and an eagerness to “hand over a nation” to avoid conflict! This sounds very sweet on the surface, ..but this will have a very scary ending.

And why NOW, that he’s President, is he Soooooo candid with his MUSLIM ROOTS??? When throughout the election process he was completely dismissive of these notions???!! He’s a chameleon.. when it’s convenient for him to save his own butt, he’s white, black, AND muslim!!

Sorry, but he has way too many “faces” to present to the world,.. and that coupled with his complete INEXPERIENCE to BE President makes me have little to NO trust in this man, and fear the safety of my home nation. But then again, I don’t “trust” any politians in my homeland. GREED is the blood of our government.

Obama called for a new partnership with the Muslim world “based on mutual respect and mutual interest.” He talked about growing up in Indonesia, the Muslim world’s most populous nation, and noted that he has Muslim relatives.

Does anyone else have a problem with the fact that his first interview as the President of the United States was with an ARABIC TV Network??? He has shown no qualities proving he is equipped for this job. Bush may have done a lot of things wrong, but we weren’t bombed for 7 years. We have slept soundly because of OUR men who have fought for our right to live. There were so many facts that were ignored and this entire election was media driven. Its very sad.

CAIRO, Egypt (AP) - President Barack Obama on Tuesday chose an Arabic satellite TV network for his first formal television interview as president, delivering a message to the Muslim world that “Americans are not your enemy.”

The interview underscored Obama’s commitment to repair relations with the Muslim world that have suffered under the previous administration.

The president expressed an intention to engage the Middle East immediately and his new envoy to the region, former Sen. George J. Mitchell, was expected to arrived in Egypt on Tuesday for a visit that will also take him to Israel, the West Bank, Jordan, Turkey and Saudi Arabia.

“My job to the Muslim world is to communicate that the Americans are not your enemy,” Obama told the Saudi-owned, Dubai-based Al-Arabiya news channel.

Obama said the U.S. had made mistakes in the past but “that the same respect and partnership that America had with the Muslim world as recently as 20 or 30 years ago, there’s no reason why we can’t restore that.”

During his presidency, former President George W. Bush gave several interviews to Al-Arabiya but the wars he launched in Iraq and Afghanistan prompted a massive backlash against the U.S. in the Muslim world.

Al-Arabiya has scored interviews with top U.S. officials in the past, including Bush and Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.

The Saudi-owned channel is seen by some in Washington as more balanced in its coverage than its Qatar-funded rival Al-Jazeera, which the previous White House administration complained had an anti-American bias.

Obama called for a new partnership with the Muslim world “based on mutual respect and mutual interest.” He talked about growing up in Indonesia, the Muslim world’s most populous nation, and noted that he has Muslim relatives.

The new president said he felt it was important to “get engaged right away” in the Middle East and had directed Mitchell to talk to “all the major parties involved.” His administration would craft an approach after that, he said in the interview.

“What I told him is start by listening, because all too often the United States starts by dictating,” Obama told the interviewer.

The president reiterated the U.S. commitment to Israel as an ally and to its right to defend itself. But he suggested that both Israel and the Palestinians have hard choices to make.

“I do believe that the moment is ripe for both sides to realize that the path that they are on is one that is not going to result in prosperity and security for their people,” he said, calling for a Palestinian state that is contiguous with internal freedom of movement and can trade with neighboring countries.

Obama also said that recent statements and messages issued by the al-Qaida terror network suggest they do not know how to deal with his new approach.

“They seem nervous,” he told the interviewer. “What that tells me is that their ideas are bankrupt.”

In his latest message on Jan. 14, al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden said Obama had been left with a “heavy inheritance” of Bush’s wars.

Shortly after the election, the network’s number two, Ayman al-Zawahri used a demeaning racial term for a black American who does the bidding of whites to describe Obama.

The message suggested the terror network was worried Obama could undermine its rallying cry that the U.S. is an enemy oppressor. ————————————————————————————————————————————————MAYBE SOMETHING GOOD CAN COME OUT OF SOMETHING BAD, PRESIDENT DID SAY HE HAS MUSLIM RELATIVES. MAYBE THAT WILL BRIDGE THE GAP BETWEEN MUSLIMS AND AMERICANS???????????

the first problem with Obama is he is a celebrity!!! that is why he got elected!! if people would have went with better person to be the president, H.Clinton would have been elected.alot of people jumped on the “black band wagon” without knowing ANYTHING about this man!! he used his color and his side step talk to get what he wanted, and just like with bush the idiots of america elected him because we had to be “correct” about things!!

People,

give Obama a chance, he is a few days in his new job, nothing is built overnight. He was eager to have this job as we all know. He won it, and I am sure he will walk the walk after so much talk the talk. I have lots of expectations and faith in him.

Wouldn’t a “known terrorist” be convicted of some sort of criminal charge? You’re convicting people of crimes that they have never even been charged with. While I don’t doubt that there are some people in there who should be classified as terrorists, but since they’ve never been charged, tried, nor convicted, then the’re just innocent men in cages, forced into doing sexual favors for american soldiers. So much for truth, justice & the american way!

Hey catrina, when you say that Obama has done alot, what are the facts that you can tell us. “has done alot” is not going to cut the mustard with me. your comment is very vague and has no intelligence to it. Give us facts of what Obama has done. It seems to me that you are the ignorant fool, coming on this forum unprepared and you have diahrea of the mouth. either shut up or put up. WHERE ARE YOUR FACTS? you sound just like CALLITLIKEITIS.. I THINK YOU ARE THAT PERSON.

hey catrina, you are the ignorant fool
January 26, 2009

Firstly, you said nothing of SUBSTANCE what-so-ever! Nothing to disprove anything in my “opinion”?

What “facts” have you gathered regarding Bush and his “messing up things”, because I remember stating an “opinion”..one that you happen to DISAGREE with.. and have made abundantly clear! Sounds to me you feel the way about Bush, that I happen to feel about Obama!! And you’re completely entitled to that! As am I!!! I am not here to DEFEND Bush, or ANY politician,… apparently you feel the “need” to defend Oblahma.

Fact: Entertainment Weekly has dubbed him a ROCK STAR.. Extras call, not mine.

Fact: here’s an example of the FINE FINE work your “chosen one” has performed his FIRST week in office..

OUR tax dollars are now gonna be spent on abortions, not only HERE in the USA, but also ABROAD!!!

He has closed down a prison housing known TERRORIST.. and at least one of them is now being decorated by Al Quaeda as a new terror organization LEADER!!

Tell me more of the ACCOMPLISHMENTS of one President Obama I’m dying to know more! I wanna know exactly what he has done for HIS COUNTRY?? What about his military experience..? His stance on abortion? His birth place? His associations with known (and proud) terrorist Bill Ayers? His association with Reverend Wright (preacher for 20 years)?

While your at it, give me the run down on his affiliations with Fannie Mae, and Freddie Mac? Could you tell whom he shared a neighborhood with in Chicago? Why are his “harvard records” still sealed? Where is his certified birth certificate?

That should keep you busy for a while, and dare I say saying keep you in the “DUH” factor for even longer. Careful whom you attempt to call “ignorant”… I did my homework, how bout you??

signed rock star like josh groban

First of all get your facts straight before you start making accusations. Second, President Obama has done alot his first week in office by reversing and cleaning up some of the mess that Bush left behind. I have FAITH in President Obama that he will do an excellent job in office. Of course he cant please everyone but I’m sure he will satisfy the masses. Better yet…..anyone not named BUSH will do an excellent job!!!! Wipe your mouth Ignorant Fool!!!!!!!!!!!

OBAMA HAS TO WALK THE WALK AND TALK THE TALK BEFORE I BELIEVE ANYTHING.

HE HAS TO WALK THE WALK AND TALK THE TALK
January 26, 2009

I’m no fan of “entertainment weekly”.. it’s a trashy rumor filled, and VERY OPINIONATED magazine!

But they DID get this one right.. Obama is a “rock star”! He’s all CELEBRITY, and zero “president”!! He’s in fact the “celebrties president”. The wealthy must stick together ya know.

And a million hits on You Tube doesn’t make him “famous” “admired” or even “popular”.. it only means that people are interested in what he has to say because saying and doing are indeed two seperate things.

He has yet to do ANYTHING in office to be admired for..

Rock Star Like Josh Groban maybe
