Stars Pledge to Change the World

Barack Obama fans Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher teamed up with MySpace Celebrity to tape a short video of celebrity pledges to change the world!

57 stars promised to help the President-elect change the way people live. Moore directed the piece -- and hubby Ashton jumped at the chance to get involved. "We try to share everything in our life," Ashton tells "Extra" of their relationship. "We try to find ways to share our work, our home life, our life, our problems, our celebrations."

The couple revealed that they'd like to roundup more confessions at the inauguration -- including Lady O herself! "I think Oprah's going to give her pledge, hopefully," dished Kutcher, "and maybe Oprah can enlist Oprah Nation to give their pledges!"

I agree with Negative’s comment — I truly feel this entire election was orchestrated from beginning to end with a load of help from the liberal media. The young are too smitten with celebrities, and that very fact was taken advantage of.

I’m SOOOOO SOOOOO sick to the death of Hollywood, liberalism, goody-goodies, societal bullies, reverse-racism, the marginalization of good and intelligent REAL people (true conservatives) of ALL races.

I worry that we’re in for a bigger divide (civil war?) than many of us realize, thanks to this unfortunate event (the “election”).

My mother (a naturalized US citizen since 1952) grew up (German) in Nazi Germany. So she knows what she’s talking about: she tells me that BO makes the hairs on the back of her neck stand up. Watching him speak, she says that she is reminded EXACTLY of the early days of Hitler (when he was new and promising and all the Germans were cheering him). It gave her the creeps.

I think racism is a huge issue, yes. But it goes both ways, and I TRULY feel that it is FUELED by LIBERALS.

For example, I would vote for anyone, no matter what race, if they stood for the conservative values I hold. And which many good, hardworking, REAL people hold.

Not this …….. pretend-world.

Read Ann Coulter’s book GUILTY or a number of other intelligent, daring, spot-on conservatively written books. It may open your eyes.

I truly wish there would be a larger movement of blacks to the conservative side.

57 stars huh? Hmm… one for each of B.O.’s states. So what took them so long? I pledge to keep my hard-earned money in my pocket and not fuel their ostentatious and self-destructive lifestyles. Blah.

Why did it matter who was president for these celebrities to pledge to do something? The things they list could always have been done. I am amazed that now that the Democrats are in office, we all have to do a better job making this country a better place and get along with one another. Shouldn’t we already have been doing that? Instead, when they didn’t like the president, was it ok to not try to make this country a better place? It should go BOTH WAYS and shouldn’t matter who the president is! I would love to see these people do these things they pledge, maybe even start giving some of their inflated salaries to the people in this country and the world who really need it. Maybe let some homeless people live in one of their many homes, they have enough space in them. It is great to all want to do better for the country, lets just remember that it shouldn’t matter who is in office for all of us to make a positive contribution.

What is distressing is that some things are being said out of context. “A house divided against itself?” You have to have the same common goals, and aligning ourselves with movie stars and rock stars is not basis for our fundamental beliefs as American citizens. The majority of movies stars are publicity seekers, and that is what we are seeing right now. Our country was based on liberty, and our inalienable rights as Americans. I do not choose to align myself with movie stars or the president-elect. What has happened is that this country was given hipe by movie stars and performers, and 53% of the people voted for a “slogan” of hope and change. If we do NOT have hope within ourselves, no one — not one person can give us that, because we have to have it within ourselves to make that change. America is bigger and stronger than any 1 man or any movie star or rock performer. Thank goodness for that!!!

CAW, you don’t have to ever worry about someone shooting BO, they only go after the presidents that are working for the people. The same reason they didn’t go after the Clinton or the Bushes.

I liked the video myself. And I thought the inaugural concert and the little speeches folks read inbetween were well chosen. I just read that 79% of people think favorably about Obama. Wish more people were interested in supporting what he is doing or will try to do instead of trying to tear him down. he has a hard road ahead of him and he certainly doesn’t need the pessimism. Am hoping today goes well and that there is PLENTY of security

I am disgusted. I sure didn’t see any Hollywood film when Bush came into office. Why not treat BO the same way we treat Bush? And instead at of spending 76 million dollars on an inaugural party, dump that into the economy darn it!! Where do you people think this money for this party is coming from?? All I have to say is BO is lucky that the media is in his favor because they will not make the company look bad while he is around, then a Rep will come in office and BAM!! it’s crappy because all the serious work BO didn’t do! I don’t trust actors…and I don’t trust BO. I PRAY THAT HE PROVES ME WRONG.

I’m impressed. I did not vote for Obama. But the minute he won I prayed for his success. I now support him as our president and hope he does well. I believe we can make a difference if we are a team. My thoughts are with him, his staff and our country. Thank you for putting into place a website where we can all support our country and each other. I’m a proud patriot!
